Recently I bought yet another laser pointer (I think its 1mw) you know those cheap red beam ones that are powered by watch batteries. Anyway, is it possible to connect for example, a few 9V batteries to one of these without damaging it, and will this increase the brightness\power output?

I want to be able to pop balloons with this thing like what they have a www.wickedlasers.com (class 3b i think) but im too cheap to pay the price for one.

A device has to be wired for the power. A circuit built for a 1.5 volt flow will not take 9 volts or even 3 volts without frying itself.
