The culmination of what the elite power in our corrupted political system is no finished yet.

As you can see very obviously the simple fact that has been not controversy big enough to stop these new laws is clear they Are in power and We the people are nothing but numbers.

Nobody wants to be tagged with an FBI record for Organizing and protesting because what happen during the protest after the war on Iraq.

People were tagged and people has lives and reputation and they don't want to become targets of the government.

We have lost everything and still we see the supporters of this administration digging to find excuses for what they are doing without we the people opinion.

Littler by littler our political system is taking away fro we the people and the gullible and naive blinded population that support this government just sit and applaud everything this government is doing.

I know were we are heading and anybody that has intelligence and that believe in what this country was build for knows, but party ideologies is blinding most of the population.

Nobody wants to deny ignorance.

As long as you remind a Joe on the streets complaining about the government is OK you are free to exercises your speech.

Become and organizer of protest against the government and you will be tagged numbered and easily become an enemy of the state if your protest starts to attract to many followers.

There are those on here that would call this thread typical liberal hysterics or some such nonsense.

The truth be told the temptation, especially during times of civil unrest, (or by an authoritarian political group trying to hold onto power) to use laws such as these against their political enemies. All they will have to do is call them either terrorists or collabrators. The adoption of this law with hardly a squeek of legitimate objection (a dark day for both parties but as for the congressional demos, their darkest) is a bad day for America. Wonder if we will even be allowed elections in 08 or will they come up with some nonsense like since Bush was appointed the first time he can still run a second time, then stuff the ballot boxes again.

I fear that in about 10 years, if a miracle doesn't happen, that the people will have given up all hope of a solution, and simply acquiesced into whatever state those at the top want them to be in.
Ten years? I give it 4 years MAX. From here till the end of the Bush administration, if it ever ends, a lot of abuse will happen, but not before the mid-term elections, at least.

After that, the democrats, if they win, will do the same thing as the republicans and abuse those power. So it's worthless to wait for a miracle, if we wait until it's late, we'll have only one choice... armed revolution. So I'm sure a lot more of ``school shooting`` will happen and use this to disarm the people. It's the next step before free speech, even if free speech is almost gone, disarming people and maybe draft to keep people busy.

A lot of people here should read again the constitution to see how it doesn't exist anymore, it's

As long as everyone held under these rules ARE enemy combantants, basically traitors, I support it. But if it is ever abused than the President, Attorney General, or whomeverelse was involved should be impeached then tried criminally for violating citizens' rights.

Every law that has been passed in this false war on terrorism HAS been used against the citizens so far. Why would it stop now?

I wouldn't even give it 4 years. It's happening at a faster rate every week. I give it a year...tops.

And as soon as another US citizen kills anothe US citizen for some terrorist cause or other (whether inspired by religious or political beliefs, domestic concerns or international ones, or anything else) the same people screaming about this injustice will demand action......

I hope they pass the law and then we should slap every single politician and bureaucrat into military PRISON and try them in front of a Military Tribunal comprised of OATH KEEPERS!

the more and more I watch things unfold here at home, and the more and more I study History. The more and more I see Hitler all over again, but this time the people are arming the monster over a period of 40 plus years slowly, little at a time. It will be interesting to see how all this unfolds.
