Call me a relic, but I still actively maintain a healthy tape and vinyl collection. There's a good reason why Neil Young fought CD's and the digitization of his music, it's not the same. You lose a distinct sound when you go digital.

I'll take some vacuum tubes and a good maxell tape over an MP3 player any day. On that note, I still refuse to buy a DVD player. I like my VCR thank you very much.

Anyone else stuck in the past?

Vinyl is great, except as a shoe leather substitute.

Some of the vinyl albums I own:

"200 Motels" - Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention

"Zoot Allures" - Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention

Star Wars (New Hope & Jedi) Original Soundtrack (Not reprints)

I have a few others, those are by far my faves though.

I have to agree with you on the CD/mp3 sound issue (notice how crappy sounding mp3s are when you plug them into big speakers) but come on ... dvd is where its at man!
