What is with the Digg this Gif?

Is it just me, or has the "Digg this" button mysteriously disappeared?

Yes it is gone. Let's just say it didn't work out with Digg.

It didnt work out with DIGG.

That does little to quench my thirst for knowledge and understanding though.
Would it be too much drama to fill us in on WHY it didnt work out?
Money issues?
Technical issues?
Content issues?
Should I avoid DIGG?

One of Digg's Terms of Service is as follows:

By way of example, and not as a limitation, you agree not to use the Services:

7. to submit stories or comments linking to affiliate programs, multi-level marketing schemes, sites/blogs repurposing existing stories (source hops), or off-topic content;

The above bolded part is my own doing. ATS is a discussion community, and a proportion of our discussion content is a small cut-and-paste of an existing article, followed by user replies.

I would think this is why Digg "didn't like us", not to mention Digg itself is a site that repurposes existing stories... so in essence, we are stiff competition.
