Red means anger, rage, and hate. red is war. red is fire. red is lake of fire, perhaps? I don't know yet. sometimes the answers to the riddles in this thread do not get fully explained for pages, like what happened on page 18 that made us learn a thing about the very first post, the introduction post was partially explained by a clue that Queenannie and N77 gave.

Re roofer? That sounds so laborous.

And what is she to do?

nothing. that is what som had to do. nothing is what som had to obtain, why can't she?

if som does not have the answer, som remembers the piece and keeps pressing forward. if som has analyzed all the truth that som can see of a thing, then som puts it back down and moves on. som just accepts what is. if it raises questions, fine. the questions remain unnanswered, but the pieces to the answer must be somewhere, if not nowhere. and even if the answers lie nowhere, then nowhere is where som will go.
