Mystery object hits shuttle?

Here's the link to a story I saw on CNN tonight. One of the pics looks really wierd, although I can't seem to find it. I'll see what you guys think.

And here's the interesting part: They're calling it debris, even though the shuttle had been checked twice already.

It has been covered here already, and the shuttle has not been hit?
