In a move by the Italian Fashion Industry, a suggestion has been made to monitor the body fat index of fashion models to better reflect "real women"
-- healthy women -- on the fashion runways.

This can only be a good thing as it will address concerns that unrealistically thin fashion models can influence young girls and teens into unfounded
and unhealthy interests in dieting which can lead to anorexia.
It's about time that the fashion industry stepped up to the plate (no pun intended) and began designing fashions for "real women" and not for
anorexic or heroin addicts. I have seen too many young girls concerned with their weight and image when they should, perhaps, be more concerned with
simply being little girls and young women. The fashion industry has made a positive step in the right direction. Now if only the movie industry and
the television media would also work start heading in this direction, I think that we would have people who begin to develop healthier attitudes about
themselves and their bodies.
