Anyone else have odd-looking 'Toolbar'?

Not sure what you call it, but this thing:


(Don't mind the missing buttons, i had to take them out to save space)

As you can see, the first button, 'home,' is in all CAPS. Additionally, the 'Member Centre' button is bolded, and exceeds the upper border, like it was just slapped in there as an afterthought.

Does this have something to do with the little 3D effect dips between each button? I think those are new.

So, do any other members have this appearing on their screen, or is it all just my fault for not knowing how to use a computer?


Also, I just noticed that there is an ad above the "Remembering 9|11|2001 - ATS Member Stories" link/text. How long has that been there? Isn't the one to the right of the logo, and the one right down the bottom enough>? It's not like anyone actually clicks on them or anything.

Yep i noticed this as soon as i logged on.I just thought öh well SO is playing with something and he`ll sort it out.

mines the same, there were a few problems yesterday i believe? (some of us couldn't get into bts ect) dunno if this is something left over from then or not?

I've just sent you a U2U wtr, the member center button is standing out a little to make it more prominent for some members who have had trouble noticing that it's there in the first place , and as you can now see, it flashes when you have a U2U waiting

Oooh somebody send me U2U so I can see it flash!!

I've had "6 New U2U's" for months, but they are phantom U2U's, there are none unread. So now I've got a constantly flashing Member Center button, anyone know how to put an end to it? I'm not convinced deleting every U2U I've got would solve it, but if it will, I'll do it.

Delete or save your U2Us. Some members always stay marked as new, even when you read them for some reason.

Buuuuuut . . . (yeah, sorry) I think the flash 'pulses' should be slowed down just a bit, so it looks like a slo-mo of a police siren, and not just a really fast one. That'd look a lot better.

My Politics and BTS toolbars are exactly as you describe, but the ATS one is slightly different as regards capital letters.

Well I guess is just part of overall imporvements, but for a while my PTS would take me to ATS

I like the flashing U2s

Yeah, I noticed it and though "Mm, SO must be some renovating of the site".

I like it, except, anyone looked at the PTS toolbar..It's PURPLE!!!

I don't think I'll ever be able to use PTS again lol.

I noticed the u2u flashing right off to, since I had some.

More of my nitpicking.

'Search' has a capital, 'Chat' has a capital, and 'member centre' is still bolded and doesn't fit in properly.

The same original problems are there for the other two boards.

Perhaps it would be possbile to spell each word on the toolbar with a capital?

(srz, I can't help myself. Really.)

SO is a busy guy...I'm sure he will rework some of these things when he gets a chance.
