50 children killed

Which statement is true:

a) Pakistani Navy kill 50 American children in 20 weeks says UN

b) French marines kill 50 English children in 5 weeks says UN

c) Israeli miltary kill 50 Palestinian children in 10 weeks says UN

If a or b was true we would all be having 1 mins silence, front pages news coverage, various affected nations demanding action, etc, etc

Anyone still wondering why there's so much anger in the Muslim world?

Not supporting Israel's actions or anything but if palestine wouldn't attack israel they wouldn't get attacked themselves.

One tries to take the moral high ground and claim it is under attack, but they are as bad as each other, IMO.

But who attacked who first? What I find interesting and nobody has answered this question yet is this: why didn't the Israeli's make the prisoner exchange as ususal operation?

Haha, don't act so surprised if they did. Imagine that, the US picking up Israel's tab again.

Tell you what, this whole bloody middle east thing would be much fairer if the Israeli's weren't bankrolled by the US. Without the money they get, their economy would be morribund and they wouldn't have the much vaunted IDF to pummel the crap out of it's neighbours and their civilians.

Things would be on an even footing then and they can all fight it out on their own. If the Israelis are indeed "God's Chosen" and they are indeed entitled to that land, then he will see too it that they win, right?

If they get booted out, then obviously they are not who they thought they were.

Lets just leave them too it instead of blindly supporting one side and getting us dragged into this mess... We might find that the terrorism would stop as well...imagine that....

Much fairer....

To my knowledge the Israeli government has not made a request yet, though they are considering it:

The US provides Israel with military assistance of more than $2b. annually.

"A request has not yet come," the US official said. "But we would consider it seriously."

According to diplomatic sources in Jerusalem, the government was considering asking for additional aid - one report said a request might be for $2b. There was also talk in Washington of a large-scale financial package to help rebuild southern Lebanon, in part to keep the Iranians out of the process. Israel was apparently hoping to fold its aid request into this package.

Well considering the Israelis did just fine from 1948-1967 before practically any US aid was given to them Im not sure what you mean. And since when was it the official position of the Israeli government that they are God Chosen.

Also I'm lost as to how the 500 mil in economic aid would cause there 145 billion dollar economy to stagnate, most of the 2 billion dollar military aid is given to US defense contractors, do you think that there lobby might have anything to do with our financial support for Israel. Also what do you in Britian have to do with this aid, you say we, but I dont see your government giving Israel anything.

You do realize that the US used Israel as a weapon to counter Soviet influence in the Mid East after its victory in 1967. This resulted in the US braking Soviet dominance over Egypt, which it also gives 2 billion in military aid too, again that darn defense industry wouldnt have anything to do with perpetuating that when it gets 4 billion dollars from arming both countries at taxpayer expense.

The US currently needs Israel as a distraction to the Arab masses, so that they dont turn there anger at Arab governments and create Islamist states. It also has a reliable base in the Middle East that can act as an attack dog and feeler and also prevents certain Arab countries from becoming to powerful and influential, thus controling to much oil.

Granted the war in Iraq removed the counter weight to Iranian power, and the situation looks bleak. Many believe that the war in Lebanon was a US feeler operation testing the #e waters before a tussle with Iran, if so it may have been a faliure but maybe not, I srael did get 1 of 3 objectives, which is its deterence back. Hezbollah will think first before they strike again, they can plead ignorance to the lebanese once but not twice.

Also in America the greatest support for Israel comes not from the Jewish community of 5.5 million but the evengelical christian community of more then 50 million, who donate far more money to Israel then Jews, they represent a good chunk of America and are intensly loyal to Israel, so why shouldnt the US support the country it has many reasons to.

Terrorism in the Middle East does not come because of Israel, it comes because of poverty, corrupt failed governments, US and Russian intervention in Muslim affairs, a drive by some muslims to create islamist states and to radically spread Islam, cultural tension between Chinese, Hindus, Black Christians, and Muslims, in Europe violence occurs becuase to radically different societies are rubbing up in places like France and Britian, the young muslims feel alienated from society, and cannot fit in so they go radicalized, none of it has to do with Israel, it is really a side issue an excuse.

I completely agree however we must ask why did these children die, has Israeli troops been intentionally targetting children or has the Palestinian men been bringing their kids with them for the fight, my guess is the latter.
