'twas a joke but I have had a few of those thousand dollar nights before. sometimes, when the boys get together it can get ugly and expensive.

well, like I said... card game tonight...... I shouldn't be out too late, so I decided when I get home, to sit back and listen to some good music.... just relax for a while.....

Awww I know it's hard not to be sad while she's away but try not to be. Be thankful you're only apart 3 days, I have been away from my husband for 2 weeks and have to endure another 15 sleeps til he gets here so we can finish our vacation in Australia together I had no idea I'd miss him this much!

***Update***

Okay, I survived night one.

Played some poker at a family member's house. Won !!! woo hoo $30bucks.

The game was over at 10pm, now you see I had a lot of options at this point...

My other poker buddies, ( the guys ) were having a game and it usually turns into having 2-3 games in one night. It would have been about a 15 minute drive to thier house.... however, the drinks flow very freely there, that could have led to me drinking too much and driving home that way, maybe even not going home....

I could have stopped at the local bar and had a beer, haven't been in there for a while... but again, one would turn into two and three... nah, had to work the next morning.

Oh yeah, the girly club... (aka strip club) there's one about 10 minutes from my house... never been to this one... good opportunity, heck I could've called the poker buddies, they probably would have met me there... nah, I'd end up spending all my money and getting home way too late.

So, I opted for hitting Taco Bell drive through and going home. I was home around 10:30, watched some tv, enjoyed my food. Called the wife at her hotel, she was fine, except for being a little tired from the days events... meetings, etc.

Finally went to bed around 11:30.

So thats it, pretty exciting huh....NOT....

We'll see how tonight goes... I'll update you tomorrow...

as for today, well its a half day at work, me and a couple of co-workers are heading out at noon, going to play some golf. After that, who knows what.....
I plan on being home before late evening though.... I still have the list of chores that I wan't to get done around the house....

Night Two has come and gone...

Took yesterday afternoon off, played golf, went home did some chores.

Washed Dishes
Cleaned House
Laundry

Made signs and hung them all over the house, welcoming her home and little sentiments...

Played some cards online....


She'll be home today, actually before I am, I'm in Cleveland working today, so she'll be there when I arrive this evening.... YaY...

I think tonight is just a quiet evening at home, dinner, movie...

Good luck with your evening, I hope she likes the effort you put in to welcoming her home!!! sounds like someones getting sum' tonight lol

I see your wife is back so I guess you can use this advice for future reference.

Rent some movies that you like, but your wife won't allow in the house. Have your buddies over to watch sports. Post to every thread on ATS. Memorize the poems of Rudyard Kipling, especially "If". Memorize Shakespeare's Sonnet #18.

Avoid drugs and alcohol. You don't want to have to do a lot of 'splaining when your wife gets back.

I was reading Grady's comments and I was thinking, what the hell is wrong here. What is he saying? It sounds like he's suggesting some incense burning kumbaya time or something. Then I reread it. and realized exactly what he's suggesting.
