I did give him credit.. and will continue to.. Im sorry if I was misunderstood.. What I Was getting at was that these weapons could be fitted to vehicles and used to corral people.. into whereever.... Pretty dangerous stuff if you ask me.. But when has the government cared about our safety

Well, I've already seen the sonic weapons when I was in NYC.
(then again, I was in NYC on the 10th and 11th of this month and I saw tons of military personell touting machine that doesn't make me feel any safer...)
It almost seems like that is the new back-drop for NY...
"Just go about your business and don't mind the sonic and microwave weapons sitting quitely in the background. We might not use them."

Oh damn.. I wanted to call the first Titor!

I'm not going to search through the 800 pages of Titor quotes, but he definitely called this one and I think his words were something like "when the military develops all these non-lethal weapons, the enemy they're planning to use them on is US" They're not planning to go into a warzone with non-lethal weapons...

It would make weapons like this gather alot more scrutiny and it would probably make them less painful whilst still being effective. And I'm curious.. I've heard the term "Less than lethal" thrown around... IS there a difference between "Non lethal" and "Less than letha" if so what is it? People have died from "Non lethal" taser hits and "Non lethal" beanbags...

The official term that should be used is "less lethal" .. the media being confused easily has changed this into less than lethal or non-lethal. "Less lethal" is just that ... it's less lethal than being shot with a gun but the potentional for death is still there. Less lethal examples include tasers, bean bags, plastic rounds in rifles and rubber bulltes. A plastic round is defintiely not as likely to kill as a bullet ... but take one to the head or even the chest and the potential for lethality is there.

The idea is that officers have more tools in the "use of force" matrix. If an subject armed with a pipe is approaching them they (depending on circumstances) may be able to use a "less lethal" weapon instead of having to resort straight to the handgun. Yes, stun guns have killed people, mostly those who are "high" on somre sort of illegal drug ... but I wonder how many they have saved??

I dont have much a problem with shocking a guy with a taser, because I know it isn't usually abused (but definately can be). Also its harder to kill them with a taser accidently. What I do have a problem with is them cooking american crowds with a big portable microwave.

Now, with the new tasers, no, because they are too powerful. But yes, before the new ``versions`` they were obligated.

Actually.. Yes.. most police agencies require officers to take a taser hit..

But some dont.. Oh well.... I think that's a little off subject though, this is about the government wanting to test a new WEAPON on its own citizens...

I think if the Military develops a new Weapons they shoudl test it on their own Soldiers.

Thats about as Fair as it Gets.

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 09:14 AM
Why? Soldiers are still American Citzens right? well.. not by law they're not..but still.. Why cant it be tested on the monster who thought of it? designed it and built it?

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 09:15 AM
The creators should test them on themselves, everybody voting for it and everybody using it also. It should be like that for every less lethal weapons.

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 09:17 AM
Well have you seen many creators of weapons lately, testing it on themselves?

Yes, that should be tha fairest - but, it like, will not happen?

Soldiers are payed to follow orders - and they are payed to risk their lives.

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 09:30 AM
We know it wont happen.. and Soldiers are paid to risk their lives.. But this guy isnt talking about testing it on Soldiers.. he wants to test it on U.S. Citizens...

ok guys here's the problem.........

if you take a "live" animal and stick it in the microwave what happens??
YOU GO tO JAIL FOR CRUELTY TO ANIMALS (elite/rich treat animals better than poor people)
and the animals fluids light up like plasma (put grape in microwave)
but its ok if its a person pissed off about their government, protesting..right??

then theres one of my earlier posts, someone else started,,, about tasers and stuff....'

do you think if a cop chases you for 20 miles, runs on foot,
and finally catches you is just gonna ZAP you 1 time with his new taser?????
how about a soldier that just had his comrade shot or killed

and the fact that if you have ANY METAL on your body,,
example,, zippers, buttons, earrings...rings, metal pins, pacemakers...implants...
from the half molten glowing metal
(try a spoon in the microwave on a thick piece of ham)

and if you are disabled in ANY WAY,, or a frail woman,, or a kid
how will you be able to get away from it, when,
a crowd behind you trys to get away?? (trampled AND cooked)

this is 1 piece to the big puzzle,, which is this........

the government likes their jobs, they do anything they want and get away with it...
executive privelige, country club jails, presidential pardons....big luxurious buildings..
and now they're being VERY well protected,, not our buildings,, just theirs....

now,, if they ever go too far.. and we DEMAND JUSTICE

they have all theese new nifty weapons and all theese new
police forces, homeland security, batf, swat, fbi, nsa ,whoever to PROTECT THEM

from the very people they are SWORN TO SERVE (you and me)
(more than enough firepower to quell a few L.A. riots)
seems to me that we are NOW serving them!!

i promise you,,

the longer this goes on the UGLIER IT WILL GET,,

also, anyone notice that they did away with "history" in schools????
so they can push math and science??? (to make better, more powerful weapons)

if the new generation doesnt remember hitlers doings.....(9-11/reischtag fire)
they can REPEAT HISTORY and get away with it, until its too late for us

has anyone actually read P.N.A.C. (project for a new american century) ???

there was a line in there saying that it would take ANOTHER PEARL HARBOR
to get america behind be able to proceed with their plans
and this was planned long before 9-11

if we do protest and push for overthrow of govt.. AMERICAN TROOPS,
would be hesitant to shoot at other americans,,,,,,,however......

since our troops are conveniently overseas,
im sure nato would send troops over here to silence/disperse crowds,
im SURE foreigners, wouldnt have a problem killing american protesters/scum......

our constitution was built to keep governments from getting THIS big,
so big that the people will NOT be able to over throw the bad ones.......

i'm afraid it is now too late, and it will take ww3 to do anything about it now...
our government has their underground bunkers, and years supply of food
while we will be left to bear all the destruction and kill each other to survive

remember, bush said "if youre NOT FOR US , youre AGAINST US"
(us meaning united states GOVERNMENT)
we can either be their slaves,, or die with the rest

how many lives have been SACRIFICED so far because of him/them???
1000's of american civillians on 9-11
1000's of 911 firefighters/rescue/cleanup workers with wtc syndrome
1000's of us troops in iraq afghan,.....
100,000's of innocent iraqi and afghan lives (they just DEFENDING THEIR COUNTRY)

notice that OUR troop death toll was getting too hi for the u.s. public

so they conned the other nations to join in
we do not hear of other countries troops death tolls,,,,add those too

anyone here religious?? ever heard of ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION???
well in babylon (iraq) our troops are dispersing,
millions of tons of DEPLETED URANIUM (60% pure)
in their tank shells and bullets ,look up "gulf war syndrome".....
and iraqis still live there its their home
and when you are sick and do happen to survive the war, they DENY your illness (doesnt exist) "its in your head"

now if i told you:
#1 im a christian that wants to have POWER
#2 i belong to secret society (you will never know what we do)
#3 i masturbate naked, in a coffin
#4 i worship an old indian skull

i would be
#1 ex-communicated
#2 watched very closely
#3 locked up for life in a pretty white jacket
#4 given an excorsism
#5 couldnt get HIRED much less ELECTED

yet this man is in control of the MOST POWERFUL WEAPONS ON EARTH!!!!!!
and is starting to use them!!!!

all this is part of this 1 piece of the puzzle....sorry.

back to topic:

how convenient

""in 1991 cheney "pulled" the abuse/torture manuals from the army""
september 21 1996 cnn news

and they now want certain people to be immune from war crimes/torture conviction

it will START WITH iraq,, what next,
when the whole world is under their control,,,,,,,,(elite's)
and they still have all theese weapons,,
they will use them on their own people.......YOU AND ME we are next!!!!

to use bushes' term........we are "BARBARIANS"

i pray for us all!!

Exactly, Im thinking the same thing - that crowd control is a nice euphemism for "those immoral liberal protesters" or anyone who disagrees with the govt. This is so sick. Good point about putting the animal in the microwave.

What in the hell is our government thinking? Sounds like the govt is very paranoid of its own citizens and for good reasons, they have really screwed the people of America for several decades.

Good point about putting the animal in the microwave.

Actually bad point, it shows the above poster has absolutely no idea how these less then lethal devices work. If you are fine with a water canon, tear gas, or rubber bullets you should be just as fine with his. New technology should not be feared due to lack of understanding.

You have voted yeah right for the Way Above Top Secret award. You have two more votes this month.

Great post.. thankyou....

Westpoint.. I think its a bit of both

...uh...he didn't mean to just start testing weapons on the average Joe. He meant that people who get paid to test this kind of crap on themselves should do it here before we start melting people over there. You know..people like those guys who taser each other.

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 04:33 PM
Actually.. No.. in the article.. he clearly states American Civillians.. That's the average Joe... be it under riot circumstances or not.. it's testing a WEAPON on civillians.. TESTING.. something is TESTED to usually figure out its effects..

posted on Sep, 14 2006 @ 05:37 PM

Now you think that I said that, maybe I will get a call to test it out? Being the first to test a new weapon of submission can have its benefits. Sure I may die a horrible death, but if I survive and the effects are minimal - none, I will possess knowledge on a weapon that will be used against the citizens.

In any case, the weapons shoot a directed concentrated beam, so if it hits part of your arm, you will not have organ damage. If it hits your shoulder, there are no problems. Maybe certain police departments known to have a high volume of kidnapping or hostage situation in their city can participate in a trial version of this weapon. What better target than a gun wileding-maniac on a street, in a bank or hotel lobby, or convinicne store? I think that is a fair and just test.

The fact that this thread even exists and continues to thrive attests to the fact that is is really, really grey area.

"Non lethal weapons", as many have correctly suggested, are in the league with bean bags, plastic bullets and whatever else (batons?).

I guess the real issue is that nobody's sure just how lethal they are and if they are a bit more sadistic than the general public is ready to accept.

I thought about the microwaves and came to the conclusion that if for whatever reason, you slip and fall and stay in the beam a little longer, you are as good as microwaved. Cooked. Or whatever -- heart attack, busted blood vessels etc.

It's a bit iffy. All I can say that it's difficult to get public support for the deployment of this weapon and the statement from the Secretaty reflects this uneasy fact.

I sort of don't like the idea.
