Help make my post pretty

how do i create those pretty white boxes that say external source.

also , i always mess up when i try quoting others and sometimes my post just look hellish.

is there a thread to explain all this to me, and maybe alot of other helpful points in making sane looking post. if so please point me in the right direction.

To quote an external source you use the tags

[ ex ]here is the quote material.[ /ex ]

Only leave out the spaces between the brackets and the text.

like if im putting a link from ats on a thread, id like to change the link to the title of the thread. am i makin sense? someone help me please

i did try the handbook but it was confusing me. ill show you why.

notice it doesnt have the / on the last [url] well this was causing me complications, then i threw in the / because i learned it makes external quotes work , and it actually worked. i dont know if this needs to be changed, should anyone fix it or is it right?

No. It's just a typo which I'm sure will be corrected by the Handbook wizard as soon as feasibly possible.

oh yeah i sent the complaint right before the last 3 mods replied on this thread, if i would have seen the post from 12m8keall2c i would have realized the problem has been brought to someones attention and the complaint would never have been sent.
