1. The civil war was HOW long ago? using WHAT sort of weapons? and FOR WHAT reason? relating this to the civil war is.. well plain outright outragoues. For starters this isnt even a war. Its an occupying force being resisted by the lands occupants. a war is an army Vs an Army, this is an army versus citizens.

Some things need to be clarified and more sense needs to be added to this thread, with due respect to the sane people on here that understand, know what's so, and didn't stop their mental and social development at the door to third grade. With that said... don't ever criticize our good soldiers. If it weren't for their ability to deploy with precision, skill, and knowledge- WE WOULD BE UNSAFE. They risk their lives every day on deployment for you, for their brothers, and for their mission and country. Remember that.
