vorazechul...:rocetto@free.data.bg/vorazechul/migg.JPG

1) first a silly question how do you call that in english
( i know what it is )

2) i thought the _____ of the mig-29 isn't so sharp than as of the su-27.
So am i mistaken or is this really a new modification or even the su-27 and if so why is there a "mig" on it

by the way the pic is from MAKS 2003

here is the original pic
external image
on the one you can't access was a drawing made by me to show you what i was asking about.

Now i guess i will have to explain it to you...
it is the part of the front edge of the wing that cunnects it with the body.It is right under the "PCK "MiG"" sign.

I don't think this will help you much but in bulgarian (a similar to russian language) it is called "naplav"

it 's the edge that starts from the nose and grows to become the wing it self .It's that starting edge under the sign " PCK "MiG" ".Not a part of the wing it self but a smoothness that fuses the wing with the body . The SU -27 has it too (it's cannon built in it)

i must say i need terminology dictionary of some kind

the topic says strange because this leading-edge of the baisic mig-29 was not so sharp. They thought it would make the plane unstable(this is actually the reason why it was so sharp on the su-27 - it increased it's agility)

Maybe the mig is using the same concept now?

Have the Wing leading-edge root extensions,

This is nothing new..

And MiG-29 was in Service before the Su-27 series..

Back in August 1983.

Su-27s werent really operational even at the 1989..

7 Pages of good MiG-29 info!!!

Fly!!!

Btw,

Check my nick..

After getting the meaning of it you could make the conclusion that i know quite much about MiG-29s..

No it has not/is not what ever..

It is the different kind of paint that makes them seem different,
But if you look closely at the pics,
You will see that they are alike.. 100% !!!
