Belgium police hold 17 in 'plot'

Seventeen people have been arrested in Belgium for allegedly planning attacks aimed at "destabilising" the country's institutions, Belgian prosecutors say.

seems like these raids are spreading, will be intersting to see just how many there has been in a month or two and how many of the people that have been nicked actually make it to trial.

Interesting. In this case, its far rightists in the army. Seems Europe is now experiencing its own militia wave, like the US had back in the 90's. Perhaps a backlash to Islamic extremism in Europe? Or just a festering sore thats been growing? It does seem a slow steady march in popularity of right wing ideas and nationalism in Europe. Perhaps even more so in response to the EU?
