Fire on Russian nuclear sub kills two

MOSCOW (Reuters) - A fire broke out aboard a Russian nuclear submarine belonging to the Northern Fleet late on Wednesday, killing two of its crew, the Defense Ministry said.

if this sub was in a similar condition to those shown on the uk media over the last few years then i'm hardely suprised, the ones we have seen have been rotting/sinking in the harbours so it's probably a suprise that more acidents havn't happened?

What concerns me is how is the shape of their containment apparatus?

When the French conducted nuclear tests underneath the water's surface, it was learned this was not a good thing.

And if they're obviously not being inspected for pass/fail to commission, I wonder when an appointed commander will decide to make a little extra green and submit some of his payload to a rogue nation/orginization. This is rumored to have happened with some of the small-scale devices, and shortly afterwards nucular (Bush Dict.) proliferation became a real concern.
