Alright see man, when I say it's a gift people think I am just saying it's for us to get high off of.

Look at all the other uses for it, this and it has tons of other medical uses, and it can be used to make paper, clothes and disel.

An interesting approach to take is to set up manufacturing areas that make things out of pot in other countries. Then the advantages will be clear and maybe you can under cut the current clothes market. If pot bites into the dollar other manufacters will want to use it in their clothes.

This is quite shocking, but I'm not surprised. And here I've been worrying about brain tumors. On a serious note, people should have a choice without having to worry about legal consequences.

There needs to be a way to get the manufacturers to realize they could make more paper, clothing, ropes, diesel fuel, and whatever else with hemp rather than their traditional method. The hemp grows faster than trees, and biodiesel is cleaner than fossil diesel. If not for mr. whatever the hell his name the senator's report many moons ago about pot making black men horny and raping white women, it could possibly happen.

The knowledge is there. As it has been for decades. Just like alternative forms of fuel. The powers that be don't like competition, so they suppress...

It's not all that bad, The Anchients and druids probly used it before us to achieve higher planes. Peace pipe??? It's mabey a little worse than ciggaretts but no worse than alcohol..... Besides I have an easier time see Chakara's (Aura's) and experiencing other things while high. We have been down this road a million times. Some states make it legal to possess and grow, others its not but the blackmailing feds like BOB BARR say it's my country and I am the boss of you.....I know whats best for you, and it's only okay if I break the law, not you... Bla Bla Bla.... what ever happend to states rights? It's a big illusion.

As if you could not tell I support POT and all it's uses including just plain old getting high. Just like going to a bar and getting plain old drunk. Maybe if it was laced with Angel Dust. Or Betty who took a puff off the "Devil Weed" and got pregnant by some stranger. Gimme a break.....after listening to these lies how can John Q. It's already been proven that pot, by itself, is not addictive. Sure, you'll find some idiots who base their lives around it and worship it, but for every guy you show me who does that, I can show you three more who just do it for recreational purposes. (Lysergic?)

Pot was outlawed because the southern Cotton Growers group saw it as threat to their livelihood. They knew the potential applications of the hemp crop and knew it would put a huge dent in their business, so they lobbied for a ban on it. Simple as that.

Although I don’t necessarily condone Drug use, I don't think it's fair to call Marijuana a drug. Everytime I see those commercials where they blame terrorism on pot I have to laugh. Terrorists make their money primarily off of opium derivatives, if I read correctly. Not Marijuana.

I believe that pot is illegal largely due to the southern farmers who know that if hemp was industrialized in the US, their cotton picking days will be over, tobacco would also loose a lot of business because most people much rather smoke weed that that cigs.
Most states have a clause in their constitution that enalbes any amendment or law that recieves enough signatures to be voted on. I think a initiative on the ballot like Hemp for Farmers could pass in most states. If you focus on the positive and tell anti-pot people of the benefits of hemp AND tell tell them that hemp is the male plant and pot is the female plant it would get passed.
Now with some research that proves THC has medical uses maybe that will help to persuade people in its favor. There are so many prescription and non-Rx drugs on the market that are harmful and have no concrete evidence of working, but they are still on the market, but our the right leaders are quick to dismiss all the eveidence that supports THC, marijuana derivitves as an effective medicine. WTF?

Marijuana brings in more revinue now than it would if it were legal. Add up all the arrests, fines, lawyers fees, court costs, rehab, ect.....they could never effectivly tax it. People can grow quite a bit in a small space if they want......tobacco would not be worth it as neither would be brewing your own drink....which is still illegal in most places.....why?????? because $$$$$$
Puff Puff Pass

Does anyone know how much trouble you can get into if you are growing a few plants as "medicine"? I know it varies a lot from state to state, but if i were to get busted i would be willing to go to a court room and plead my case.

Pot is illeagel because it is how organized crime gets all their money for larger operations. THe gov cant handle the war on drugs as it is.

It does vary from state to state but some states only make it a finable offence (west coast) depending the use and amount. I think Arizona and Cali are the most forgiving. Here in Virginia Medical use is legal with a doctors perscription but, no doctor is going to risk having his licence yanked for a perscription. Also even if they do give you a perscription, you would have to get a special tax permit which the govt. wont give out. There is no where to legally buy it either. Read the N.O.R.M.L. Website for laws on each state and it would not hurt for everyone that finds the laws just as twisted as I do, to help out the cause, even if it is donating a few bucks or some time to it.

Those stooopid propaganda commercials actually got such a BAD reaction among consumers they pulled the campaign FAST. WHAT A WASTE OF FROKKIN' TAXPAYER MONEY!!! Everyone should write their congressmen and senators BLASTING the idiots for it! The morons who were behind it are the true terrorists!
