Too cool... I've been trying to get something, anything on tape. Let me try now..... Well, I didn't hear anything. There is no one here but me, no noise whatso ever going on. I sat very still besides tapping on my desk a few times to indicate start stop times on the tape. The tape isn't silent, sounds kind of like cross between a whinning ceiling fan (there is not one on) and a very loud angry fly, and a little scratchy....but no words or anything. I listened on high speed and low several times. I'll copy paist this section to a different thread. Is there anyone hear who thinks they can pick out these sounds? I could tape an entire front back of a tape and send it via mail. I have tried (with co-opperation from them) many times and haven't been able to hear a thing. I am wondering if it has to be played back at a certain speed? I give up - I just don't have the patience to sit and listen to a fuzzy sounding tape.

It is rare to record a clear audible ghost's voice. I've used at least 6 microcassettes to record, with only 4 noticeable EVP's. There are some people that use software to 'clean up' the recording, but I don't bother with it. If the recording isn't screaming at me, then I won't dig any deeper. Perhaps someone here has experience with Cool Edit, or the like, and can offer their assistance.

Wish there was someone in my area that did this sort of thing.

I read somewhere about a woman who took her tape recorder into the woods in europe somewhere to try and pick up voices from the other side. At first nothing happened but she kept trying and after a few days or weeks she began to pick up lots of voices.

If you type "electronic communication with the dead' into google you can find all the info.

The catholic church has a group of investigators who pick up and study these voices.

Yea. The Catholic Church refused to get anywhere near a problem I needed help with years back. (the house I posted so many times about)
Even the Arch Bishop - who they reffered me to - wouldn't even return my phone calls.
I supose someone MAY listen to a tape if you sent it in thought.
But I'm not getting anything at all :-( Thing is - they are trying for me. I don't get it.

You need to record what is above or below the threshold of normal hearing. Put it into a sound editing program and alter the frequency to that of one you can hear. The same goes for video. Record the spectrum we can't see then, alter it so we can. How do we see ultra voilet light?
