interesting turn of events

remember the recent headlines of the mutiny by the plane passengers who refused to fly on the plane with the two 'suspicious' characters?

well, a uk newspaper, the independent, has an interesting afterward to that story...

it seems that the whole thing may have been a setup in order to obtain money from the publicity surrounding the event. one of the two is also most likely going to be sent to jail for credit card fraud and cloning cards. his sentencing date has been adjourned until... sep 11th!

Very interesting. I wonder if this is gonna be hailed as a "fortunate accident" or whatever. Am even more surprised this has not gained more attention on this site, as the original thread went on for several pages.

yeah, i thought that more people would have found this an interesting story, (especially in light of the recent private study which says that only 9% of terrorist cases in the u.s. ever get to see the inside of a courtroom.) here is one definate reason why
