The US government needs more weapons like this to win the war in Iraq.

I think USA should spend $$ to bring this project back to "life" IT can be the answer to wars everywhere.....

Damn Interesting had a little write up about Acoustic Kitty as well. I am not surprised at all that this was tried, and I would not be surprised if such 'projects' are still being done. In this day and age, everyone thinks intelligence revolves around wire taps, internet probing etc. If a cute little kitty comes strolling along, as long as it's not wearing a collar or anything, no one would suspect that it might be 'wired' to pick up on and transmit conversations.

I have heard roomers that the Israelis have trained dogs that respond to mini electronic devices in planted inside of them so they can be "radio controlled" and used for similar purposes.
