UK falling apart!

Logical thinking wold explain why 'terrorism' is targeting the UK.

How do you stop something standing up. You weaken the legs! If you consider the US the body and the UK the legs the US loses a considerable respectablility if it loses UK support which is the obvious aim of the 'terrorists'.

This boy deserves free lessons at the local library! The UK (england specifically) was at one point an equatorial land mass and because of this has always possesed a relative upper hand on other developing land masses of the time. Northern england (manchester liverpool leeds york and upwards) have always been more advanced this is why steel coal and minerals and cars and whatever else has ever been manufactured has been made by the greater skilled brits before cost cutting became a major influence.

'Logic' tells you that the reason 'terrorists' have been 'targeting' the UK is because the UK is one of the major 'powers' involved militarily and economically in the ME and have been so for at least a century.

(and as for 'support'?
I think you'll find British publics' 'support' for the current US and Israeli adventures is and always has been woefully thin at best)

As for the UK itself falling apart?

The whining of a handful that their vision of 'England' is sullied by 'all those foreigners' - or those hoardes of us that couldn't give a monkey's for their out-of-date laughable right-wing ideas of what Britain means or is - is no evidence of anything.

Britain was founded on immigration (sorry to burst anyone's bubble but humanity did not spring up in England).

The British have been some of the biggest immigrants the rest of the world ever saw.

A little change is all that is happening, same as it ever was.

Pity it terrifies some so much.

just because there was immigration in the past does not mean it's okay now. since when was britain's population 60 mil?

it's simple math really. there's a limit. increasing population density is not a good idea.

and someone's got to say it. while we now need to cap all immigration in my opinion, we need to put a complete halt to any more muslims coming in.

otherwise we need to work on making better agreements with the other english speaking countries. it's absolutely ridiclous that brits have a harder time emigrating to the other english speaking countries (US, canada, australia etc) than to say greece or slovenia!

i like being around people with whom i have aq common language and culture. there's a reason muslim immigrants live in ghettos. if british people wanted to live within the sound of a 6am call to prayer they'd move to pakistan.

- TBH you really didn't 'need' to say it at all.

It is as plain as day and has been since the year dot, no matter how some attempt to disguise where they're coming from.

When talking about immigration there are more than a few so obviously just using the phrase for code; immigration = brown people.

Or, in this case and lately - immigration = Muslims. Truely laughable.

Thankfully and rather amusingly it is that kind of attitude that is the minority in Britain today.

I think some terrorists have it right to be targeting the UK.

Good old England started on it's slippery slope when they stopped concripts into the Army and after that stopped giving the cane in school, lol cane in school I had a cricket bat and a football boot across my arse.

Even parents could give you a clip around the ear, even though just the thought of it stopped you in your tracks, now you can take your own parents to court if they even dare look at you the wrong way, these are the same parents who had the good grace to raise you / us / me.

The countries whom we included in the British Empire, now they rule themselves and have taken three steps back in terms of development, and each day more and more move to the UK, makes you wonder why!!!!!

For been a island nation who managed to hold the Spanish Armada, Hitler and a few others back, we are useless at stopping anyone from entering this country, soft this country has gone past soft.

As a business man I realise how important immigrants are to propping up the UK economy. THese people do the jobs that lazy people from our countries will not do. They pick the crops that are sold in the supermarkets so that you can enjoy your cheap vegetables. They work in Bars, Restaurants and clean toilets. If it wasnt for immigration our countries would really fall apart. Ask most British businessmen in Britain about this and they will agree - in fact bring more over.

As for terrorism - the only way to solve the problem is to talk. As much as you think these people are braiwashed monsters they are actually people. They see pictures of our soldies torturing Iraqi's, killing civillians, they see us watching and saying nothing as Israel completely destroys a nation with our weopons. What on earth do you think they think about us ???

Go and read some history - read about the IRA and the Uk's pathetic attempts to stop it. Read about how John Major and Mo Mowlam decided to speak to these people and how things have changed...

Maybe you pay these workers the minimum wage but I bet the benefits they get will outweigh what someone born here would get, one example they get NHS treatment / cover from day one without having to pay a penny.

You only have to see how the young population of any country are conditioned into thinking the same way as their elders, it's not their fault it is all they have known from day 1, so saying they are brainwashed would not be the best assumption but not the worse either.

Now think about this, the Gulf Wars had one army against another, civillians are sadly to say will always be casulties, as for groups like Hizbollah , Taliban or whoever, how can you fight them and come out of it without criticism from all quarters. These so called fighters live amongst the civillian population one for protection from been found and secondly if they get hit then civillians will be killed too and then the aggressor will be called barbaric, in-human etc.

What the coalition or Israel have done is no way anywhere near as bad as 9/11 or the tube and bus bombs in London, innocent people been killed is always the agenda for terrorists.

Please explain to me how ireland has taken a step back in development since we gained independence, if anything we have taken leaps and bound since the brits left.

Well if you count where the UK held rule from 1801 to 1922 before the Irish Free State was formed and then around 1935 the name Eire came in use until 1948 when the Republic of Ireland was formed then I guess I did not include Eire in what I said, but countries further from home like India, African countries from west, east and south.

In reality I did not, but now you have asked for an answer then lets just say you had the "Tiger Economy" before you decided to join the Euro, you surely cannot say it did not stunt the economic growth of Eire ???

Neo, I have paid NI for 25 years without having ever having to use the NHS, I should now be entitled to private care for the amount of money I have paid in.

As for terrorism or war, well what starts it, religion and politics, I don't believe in any religion but do believe in the human race, and as for the goverments well what a waste of breath.

The US now wants to take the UK off the Visa Waiver Programme. They think that we cannot control our islamic people anymore!! We are their closest ally, and they want to make it more difficult for us to visit them!

The NHS is all about the greater good.
You may need the NHS eventually. I certainly don't resent paying taxes and NI if it is used wisely - but thats a whole different argument.
I just dont see the problem with immigrant workers being able to use this service (or not use it like yourself).
I genuinely believe that they come here looking to work not to pick up benefits - as a whole.

Leave my house with the windows open and walk down the street without having to shrug off hoodies (I've done more than "Hug" the little twits!). I dont want to walk out my front gate and find a bloody needle of a drug adict or his used condom nor do I want to want to watch a movie of a group of people slapping random people for f'all? I dont expect to read the newspaper to read that a Dad of three was stabbed in the neck in broad daylight because he owed 40p. I think it's a bit of a joke where people are forced to take down christmas trees and lights because it 'offends the muslims in the community' (it has happened!)

If muslims want to come and live in Britain, they should accept that the main religion here is Christianity and we can celebrate it how we like! If they don't like it, they should go to a country in which their religion is the main one!

And I heard the other day that a boy wasn't allowed to wear a crucifix to school because it was religiously offensive, yet most of the other children were allowed to sit there wearing their big headdresses and other items 'because it was their religion'.

And as I said, this happens in a predominantly christian country!? I don't even have a word for that...


P.S. sorry if it's a bit off-topic but the topic seems to have changed to immigration, and my post is just an example of how ridiculous Britain is getting.

This is spot on. Yes Britain may have a good economy, clean water, whatever, but this^ isn't the sort of community i like to live in. I've been to other European cities and never seen anti-social problems like Britain.

I don't know what it's like in USA though, do any Americans experience these sorts of problems? (and these aren't just one-offs, this happens all the time)
