I'm watching the episode this morning. It's too interesting to ignore.

From the start:

00:02 Shot of a building framework, (allusion to the "framework" of the episode, or to "the plan"?) two crane "BOOMS" form two paths into a large hole in the center of the framework. (World Trade "CENTER"?) Looks like they could also symbolize the pathways to an incoming attack.

00:04 The "SIGN". (Say no more; nudge nudge, wink wink.)
"Under Construction" - meaning; "the plan"?
"The Odyssey" - Without getting too deep into The Odyssey, as I haven't read it since 9th grade English, there are a few notables:

The Odyssey (Greek: Ὀδύσσεια, Odysseia) is one of two major ancient Greek epic poems attributed to Homer. It is, in part, a sequel to the Iliad.

Or; maybe that references the years between the public announcement of the towers being built and the actual event taking place, although that would be forty years... but then maybe that's the source of Max's confusion later (01:09), when he makes it 41st St, forty two stories, instead of the other way around, indicating the date for the event is not yet 'etched in stone'.
"Space Center"? They sure left a lot of "space" between the words "space" and "center".
Who knows? Maybe they did use "space" weapons to light the fuse on the stuff in the concrete. (It seems that way to me, anyway.) Maybe they were just alluding to the great big hole they were going to make.

Well... DUH!
Well, apart from the obvious "walls come a tumblin' down" reference, Jericho is in the "West Bank of the Palestinian Territories." Maybe that's endgame stuff.

Maybe even Nibiru coming into play.

After that: Max is standing with his face covered (past his eyes) by the magazine (with what looks like the Dallas School Book Depository pictured on the page) as Agent 99 faces the wall and speaks to him. A passerby who looks a LOT like Agent Larabee walks past, going about his business, oblivious to the intrigue.
Perhaps he represents US, as described HERE.

Larabee was without a doubt the dimmest agent ever to work for CONTROL. Loyal and honest, there is virtually nothing that Larabee actually understands.

After that; plot exposition, including "Agent 77 is an impostor." I dunno. Maybe that's double agent, (or building) 7.
Then, Max produces a picture of a phone (holographic images?) and calls "The Chief".
Chief: "I read you loud and clear." (picture Cheney: "The orders still stand".
Then, Reagan dancing with Grable".

01:09 Max's confusion. Max: "I'm at the SW corner of 41st St., observing the construction of a 42 story building."
Chief: "You're on the NE corner, and it's 42nd St., and it's a 41 story building."

Now; if I would want to attribute each of these sentiments to ATS vernacular, I would call 99 a "sheeple", Chief a "truther", and Max a "truster".

The dialogue from 3:44 to 5:24 is too much to type, and too apropos to be missed, as each of the above characters fall into their sheeple/truther/truster roles.

Safely escaping the city the two returned to Joshua and reported that the "whole land was melting with fear".

Note also that Fit is also an old past tense for fought, in other words the title of this episode is possibly more aptly "Smart Fought The Battle Of Jericho".

I wish we could bring it back, I've starred a lot of the posts here before, and some more this trip through it, and flagged it, of course.
It is a very interesting thread, and informative. There are so many links that it's almost a college course on the subject!
Oh well. At least we had fun!

Coptic egyptian calendar has a possible connection to Oriental Orthodox Christianity. Oriental Orthodoxy appears to be different than Eastern Orthodoxy.

Oriental Orthodoxy refers to the faith of those Eastern Christian Churches that recognize only three ecumenical councils — the First Council of Nicaea, the First Council of Constantinople and the First Council of Ephesus. They rejected the dogmatic definitions of the Council of Chalcedon (451). Hence, these Oriental Orthodox Churches are also called Old Oriental Churches or Non-Chalcedonian Churches. These churches are generally not in communion with Eastern Orthodox Churches with whom they are in dialogue for a return to unity.

Interestingly enough the Armenian Apostolic Church is also part of Oriental_Orthodoxy and the Armenian Apostolic Church also shares one quarter of the old city of Jerusalem. The other 3 quarters are occupied by Christians, Muslems and Jews.

You know, I looked at that, and looked at it, and I thought the same thing. (Pentagon)
I also thought that was the reason it was shown onscreen for so long; note how Max holds the picture perfectly facing the camera, right on through 0:29 of the video.
I wanted to find a good pic of the Pentagon to match it to, but when I didn't find it right away (I should have searched ATS) I was afraid it wouldn't stand up to scrutiny, so I kept the thought; but tamed it down a bit. My BAD. My scattered brain!

The direction of the ladder seems to differ in many instances.

One side is the sun on the other the moon. In the center the stars.

For hundreds of years, the Ottoman Empire ruled over the Muslim world. After centuries of battle with Christian Europe, it is understandable how the symbols of this empire became linked in people's minds with the faith of Islam as a whole.

Based on this history, many Muslims reject using the crescent moon as a symbol of Islam. The faith of Islam has historically had no symbol, and many refuse to accept what is essentially an ancient pagan icon. It is certainly not in uniform use among Muslims.

Clearly the knights templars stole some of this information during the crusades and brought it back to europe. They may have interpreted it differently, changed it's interpretation, forgotten it's meaning, etc while the original interpretation remained unchanged throughout time buried in the Egyptian and Afghanistan mountains.

It is impossible to understand all of the different interpretations or deviations that may exist.

Back on course the building in the magazine, that Max is pointing to, could also be the Whitehouse or the Capital building.

Maybe Max is insinuating that Reagan will be president one day.

Maybe two buildings designed to withstand jet aircraft impacts got hit while three buildings fell down. Who the hell knows.

Maybe Mohammed Atta was superman and was able to penetrate the defenses of the worlds leading superpower all by himself. Or maybe he was just a pawn. Maybe time travelers or Aliens did it.

Either way after 9/11, I do believe that many people, within the US, were definatly nervously looking over thier shoulders for the boogy man. It also explains why there was a great deal of fear and reluctance on the part of many to investigate 9/11.

They are afraid of what they might find.

The real answers could bring the entire country to it's knees.

We may never know the entire truth of the matter.

In the USA few buildings or roads are considered strategic enough to plant explosives in advance, unlike Switzerland it isn't a small mountain state surrounded by potentially aggressive neighbors eyeing its banking assets. Therefore buildings in New York City had to have been selectively "mined" or booby-trapped when the need arose. Given that the Twin Towers were both evacuated and extensively visited only weeks before the attacks we can ponder whether such action was taken.

Before you implicate me as an Agent of Control being behind this event just because I joined ATS on 9/11 exactly seven years after the attacks, let me give you some more information about what could be embedded in that early episode. Jericho Construction Company is accused of blowing up the buildings, a company headed by Chaos member Joshua. Historically, Jericho housed the palace of the Governor of Galilee, later elected King of the Jews by the Roman Senate, Herod whom the Gospel of Matthew blamed for The Massacre of the Innocent by ordering the murder of all young male children in Bethlehem.

Jericho in the Get Smart episode might refer to the West Bank city of Jericho, and Joshua to the earliest known Israeli spy? Another TV series inspired by 9/11 is actually called Jericho:

We can wonder what was inside the White rental van in which the Israeli dancing filmmakers were arrested in on 9/11. Note that this TV series is bizarre, its authors claiming inspiration from 9/11 and using "Jericho" as a backdrop for their story. They also used secret codes to convey hidden info: was it really only a "TV game"? Odd for a series with so serious a nuclear holocaust theme.

We learn from the Torah that Joshua was an Israeli spy in the days of Moses, which does not sound so good, as Joshua in the Get Smart episode was a spy for Chaos seeking to destabilize Control.
