Facial expressions are being linked to terrorism

San Diego may not seem like a counter-terrorism hot spot, but look closer and you'll find U.S. Coast Guard helicopters buzzing overhead and scientists developing a device that analyzes the facial expressions of airline passengers before they board.

In an attempt to prevent terrorists from boarding commercial planes, scientists are developing a device that can detect and record facial expressions that show fear and other emotions.

That's a LOT of flyers.

For all others, the "arrive 6 hours early" is now advanced to "10 hours" due to those with fear of flying being picked out and sorted ........... pack breakfast, lunch, and dinner for your pleasant air terminal stay.

its just a stupid idea. none of these stupid security measures will stop terrorists by the way. theyll always have something new up their sleeve. you gotta wipe out these terrorists from the root, (war) only way to stop em is to destroy them.

Isn't this system being modelled based on the Israeli El Al airline security? A friend of mine who recently travelled to see family in Israel said they interview every single passenger as part of their security package. Seems like they are quite thorough, and successful one might add.
