Has anyone seen the newly released documentary titled, Why We Fight? It was winner of the Grand Jury Award at Sundance film festival.
It takes a close look at the anatomy of American war-making, and all the minds behind such action. Wouldn't you know it, Rumsfield, wolfawitz, and
Cheney are all up in the corruption.
From my pov it is laid out at bipartison as it can considering. A lot of reputable figures in american policy are interviewed within. It is very
informative to someone that didn't know how the last 70 years can be connected perfectly through special interests in our own Industrial military
complex.
IT IS GREAT!

This was aired on the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) last night so I would guess that a lot of Canadians have seen this now. I watched it
with my wife (who has no interest in ATS type matters) and she was blown away by what was presented in the film. I'm glad the war vet who lost his
son on 9/11 got this opportunity to express his feelings and share his story.

We just finished watching it again before mailing it back to Blockbuster online.
I am appalled and saddened at what has become of my country.
It's not JUST this administration and we should know that the next President will be just as deeply embroiled in the script.
PNAC is mentioned at length in the movie.
The quote by Bush that the Iraq War had nothing to do with 9/11.
Really TMI to digest.

I is a truly important movie for all to see.
Here's a review:
www.informationclearinghouse.info...
Why We Fight carefully illustrates how our beliefs, our national character, our shared view of ourselves as Americans have changed since World
War II. Jarecki utilizes President Eisenhower’s famous farewell speech of January 17th, 1961. In this speech, Ike warned of a growing
military-industrial complex, and its possible negative impact on our democracy and our republic. As the late Colonel David Hackworth used to remind
me, Eisenhower spoke of the dangers presented by military-industrial-congressional complex.
It is fairly widely available:

Blockbuster Online and Netflix have it.

When I saw 'Why We Fight' about 5 months ago, I was lucky to have only just watched another documentary. 'The Corporation'. I say lucky because
The Corporation gave a more wholistic view of the 'corporate agenda'. Its a documentary that was split into two or three episodes, so it is quite
lengthly at least three hours.
Im urging people to watch this and even go far as to say, please watch The Coporation before you watch Why We Fight as I felt it gave a good
background and made Why We Fight seem like a subset of a bigger picture.
Here is the google video, I think I have the right one, from
the beginning (I know I first watched them out of order but it was still good) and its 3 hours long.
The DVD can be bought at
amazon.com or
amazon.co.uk
Synopsis from Amazon.com
Since the late 18th century American legal decision that the business corporation organizational model is legally a person, it has become a
dominant economic, political and social force around the globe. This film takes an in-depth psychological examination of the organization model
through various case studies. What the study illustrates is that in the its behaviour, this type of "person" typically acts like a dangerously
destructive psychopath without conscience. Furthermore, we see the profound threat this psychopath has for our world and our future, but also how the
people with courage, intelligence and determination can do to stop it.

Although the people who put out the film do allow for free downloads, but suggest a purchase or donation. Their site seems to have a bad
link.

Does it count that I voted for him twice??? *smiling sweetly*
FWIW, I have no great love of Bush & Co.
I found the movie fairly impartial. It did deal with presidents from both parties going off and sending the military to various countries since the
end of WWII. So, I don't think it's really fair to single out the current guy in the Oval Office.
More and more, the presidency and its agenda seems to be single minded in its approach to the military might of the US. Probably because of what
Eisenhower warned us about: the military-industrial complex.
Ya know, big business and the military The MIC rolls along gathering speed and money no matter what party sits in power. Please be under no
allusions that a shift in power will signal the end of the abuse of the MIC.
It will be business as usual.
EDIT
Besides, this is ATS, not PTS.
We really don't need this to turn into a partisan issue.
The real issue is the MIC.
I really hope as many as can view this film sooner rather than later. So we can discuss the topic rather than the current administration.

its not JUST the Military-Industrial Complex. Industry has EVERYTHING now NOTHING is a coincidence. OPEN YOUR EYES WE ARE BEING DECEIVED. So many lies
I could through back into in the officials face and all they have to say is "NO COMMENT" and everything is back to normal. Man, when you have a
nation that believes in a war they KNOW is not moral... you got em by the balls.
We the people #ed up bad in letting an extremely organized group control our nation and WE THE PEOPLE will pay the price. Mark my words and remember
me. Slowly we are molded into what THEY want us to be.. An EVER-CONTROLLED, EVER-CONSUMING, EVER-PRODUCT FOR THEIR MACHINE. A machine that will unite
the world into GLOBAL CONTROL. ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE TYRANNY. The highest 1% thrive while the rest MERELY SUVIVE. Popping our anti-depressants,
working for a job we hate, so we can buy stuff we don't need! Getting fat on expensive food. Then loosing the weight on expensive drugs (BOTH OWNED
BY THE SAME COMPANY)
As long as the public keeps busting their balls, the machine keeps turning. but that is getting to far ahead... where we are right now is establishing
GLOBAL CONTROL. First it was the west hemisphere, then the EU, now the Middle East. America is the 7 Headed Beast. It's not in the paper or on the
news, because they OWN the media. It's in our music, it's in our personal literature. Screw the system! Organize individually and never in the
masses.

I review it in two ways. For the layman this can be an eye opening piece. It goes through the machinations of the MI complex, mixing the pentagon,
crooked congressman, and private business along with the think tank movement. It exposes most of the key players who led the US into Iraq, even
getting interviews with some of them. Richard Perle and Bill Kristol look like total jackasses as they should. John McCain is on there talking tough
about the Bush administration, how they were careless, have acquired too much power, blah blah blah. Then you hear in the background his asst says
Rumsfeld is on the phone, a man who he was lambasting in front of the camera. McCain has to interrupt the interview and looks like a deer in the
headlights as he is exposed to be a fraudulent populist and progressive. There is also a touching piece with a vietnam vet/retired NYC cop whose son
is lost in the WTC disaster. He tries to find a way to memorialize his son and after e-mailing an armed forces official he gets a response from a
marine who has etched his son's name on a bomb bound for Iraq. Later the father hears Bush deny any connection to Iraq in regards to 9/11 and is
visibly shaken as his memorisl to his son now has no meaning.
Now for someone like me this movie goes so far in its expose but as with all else refuses to speak of the elephant in the room, Israel and Zionists
behind the war. It goes over the entire roster of PNAC, Rumsfeld intel unit, the members of Bush's administration who are all connected. But it
ended there. All these people are connected but how? The movie refused to say.

Yeah that scene right there says ALOT.
McCains eye twitches when his assistant tells him "the vice president is on the phone".
GEE, ya dont think ol' Dick was listening in on the interview do ya? I mean the timing is just too suspect, but maybe Dick calls all the time, I
dont know.
All I do know is McCains eye twitched...
he was clearly afraid.
Also VERY telling was the bonus interviews after the show. In particular the interview with Chuck Spinney (sp).
It starts out with him saying something like "why are we doing the interview on a boat?" and ends with a comment like " I dont like the term
whistleblower, Im not a whistleblower. I backed out of the salloon with both guns blazing".
I took those two and drew the conclusion that the interview was on his boat because he was afraid for his life. I surmised that he just went from
port to port.
For those of you that dont know who Chuck Spinney is I suggest you research him. He is a great American patriot in my book, right up there with
Smedley Butler.
As far as the Zionist thread that links the entire world together. I agree it exists, but I dont think that everyone sees or understands this aspect
of world affairs. To include it in this movie would only have clouded an otherwise clear film.
The Zionist aspect is IMO something better left for those that really want to dig for the truth, and they will see how deep the rabbit hole goes.
Overall I really liked the movie. Well worth renting. or maybe even buying!

It is also available via Pay per view in many cable areas...
It was worth the $4
hell, it was worth $1000
a must see for anyone that really wants to know what is going on. It anwers all the questions, and gets very high up players to talk very
candidly...
It almost seems like these people have actually developed a conscious and are trying to expose the monster that they helped create...
One major revelation: an open admittal that Iraq was the next war, regardless of whether 9-11 had ever happened... the plans were drawn up years
before...
and why? because America needed another war target, to feed the machine... a machine that is needed for America to have jobs, and an economy... (not
because of any actual threat)
and for those that didn't realize... America has been at war, since WW2...
every few years, another little war is started to supply contracts with the machine...
middle east, africa, central america, south america...
there is very few continents that we havent bloodied with our progress of democracy (BTW, it exposes this democracy spreading, as industrial
capitalism)
it ALSO charges that the "machine", has bought influence with a massive consortium of politicians, via manufacturing in the politicians
districts... (trade jobs, for support)

After you're through watching that movie, perhaps you should watch "Obsession" in order to understand
why we REALLY fight.

otcconan,
Did you watch the film Why We Fight?
I ask this because that is what this thread is about, and if you did watch it I would like to ask you what you thought of
Frank Spinney?
What experience do you have in the world to tell me that the real reason we fight is contained in a biased hate filled movie like obsession?
Is your experience and understanding better somehow than that of the military personell that testified in
Why We Fight?
And what is it that you think Eisenhower was talking about in his last address to the nation?
I guess I want to know what you are doing here other then plugging a hate-flick.
I dont need commercials for propaganda flicks placed in threads.
I have seen the movie you suggested, and I found it losely based in truth and spun to generate fear of foreign people.
I will tell you what I told somebody else on another thread.
I fear no bearded man in any foreign land chanting anti-western slogans.
It doesnt scare me at all.
Dont you live in fear either, its unAmerican.
Obsession is a better description of the people that push that movie then it is of the people IN the movie.
The people that push that movie are obsessed with 'stopping the threat to America' or some such non-sense.
Are you Obsessed with stopping 'radical Islam'.
