Pshh. This stuff happens all the time here with coyotes and raccoons as well. Raccoons are getting smarter and stronger to adjust to their environment is all. They're getting tired of eating out of the trash. Adaptation. And like the person above me said, we're humans, they're RACCOONS. Leave your cats indoors and lay traps and bait everywhere in your backyard and the forests surrounding it.
