All the people you mentioned worked for what they have. They earned it. Blessed by God? I would like to hope so, but I have no idea.
People are not blessed with money. They are blessed with understanding, wisdom, and love.

Woah relax there mate! Sry you find my questioning of your faith so repulsive.
But anyway, you were the one that said...

Well, if you think that ppl get blessed with 'what they have' and happy lives by God for anything you do regardless of what it is, then obviously by your logic ppl who don't have anything, or have unhappy lives are not blessed by God. So therefore they must have done something bad.

Maybe you don't really think that you have 'what you have' because of God, but plenty of ppl do, more than you would believe.

But I think you read too much into what I said. I didn't say you didn't work for what you have. Just that I don't believe God works on those levels. I believe when you pray you are really talking to your own inner conscious, the part of the brain that really runs things. It's the same thing as positive self talk, it works, and works very well.

God has bigger things to deal with than our worldly possessions IMO

Let me make this clear if I may. . . I have no problem with the creator . . . never had and I know already that I never will.

I have been in touch with something that many will regard with skepticism.

But since I was a child that started to understand consciousness I knew what lies beyond the God, heaven, earth and religion.

Funny but sometimes knowing somethings or been born knowing. . . make people like me a littler bit curious about how people struggle all their lives looking for closure and understanding for something that their were not mean to never understand.

Seriously when I was younger I used to pray to god all the time, and one time I heard him, he told me to F-Off!

Believe it or not, but he has a lot of enemies and I do mean a lot. He did that once to Edgar Cayce by literally throwing him across many miles in which he (Edgar Cayce) landed on a roof of the town that was near God's throne. There is a seriousness to him that I most definitely admire however seemingly rediculous. There is like how many fans of him throughout the world when you count up all of the Christians and Muslims? Not to mention a bunch of other religions and what not. In a world that often cites as boredom as being the number one annoyance or what have you, I can reassure you that he's quite the opposite even when his son comes off as disappointing from time to time.

Sometimes you have ot surf through many things to find what you looking for.

Is many voices that are there to confuse.

No is not the devil I am talking about, that one is just human invention.

But is something more out there that will confuse many.

I had my share of those kind of voices, they are nothing. . . just random things trying to take away your mind for what you seek.

Can i add some thing?

Well, a few weeks ago I was laid on the bed just talking to the wife in a stream of sun light - nice warm relaxed. When I sat up. And it was dark, and I couldnt see but felt a really deep evil approaching.

The out of nowhere came this thundering roar like the biggest waterfall in history, and the most beautiful singing ever.

This noise then turned to light -the light was literaly roaring. The song went like this.

Coming down, to cover you, cover you in glory! glory glory, gloria, he is covered in glory!

Then this voice, and i mean voice thundered out from this light.

"AWAY FROM HERE YOU FOULNESS! NOW!"

This figure, well, words fail me. There was this noise like a deep sucking sound, and this figure was dragged into the floor screaming in what sounded like agony mixed with fury.

The light faded away, and this figure, all bathed in light stood next to me.

This is what he said.

"Some things you in your faith can do for yourself. Some things in your faith you need to ask for help, and then there are times when you should just call out and leave the rest to me". At this, he smiled, touched my shoulder, and receded into the distance.

All I can say is this - I was athiest, then i started to wonder, now you couldn't tear me away from God with wild horses.

I have my share of what religion call Angelic beings, now I know what they truly are, we see what we want to see, you listen to what you want to listen.

Yes like I said is many beings out there and many of them are to help support and care for their charges.

But when scrutinized enough . . . they will show their true self the real self.

Religion just paint what we can not understand in the colors and textures that will help them keep the believers attach so the interpretations of things that other wise can be found within ourselves be only reached through them and their own definitions or faith.

You want to know more of your vision or experience just ask and you will see again. . . sometimes doors are open for some to see and understand.

Marg, I am so confused. I do not understand what your view on this subject is. On one hand it sounds like you are saying he's all in your mind he doesnt exist. Then on the other hand it sounds like you have experienced these things and you know not only that he exists but how much more there is than meets the eye.

I am not trying to attack you in anyway. I am just trying to figure out your view on this subject.

I took this from a thread I started a while back about my experience...and yes, I believe it was the God entity that you are referring to...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

An experience I had...

About three or four years ago, I was still in college, I had an event take place one night that has stayed with me, and always will.

My wife (girlfriend at the time), and I were both staying with her parents. This particular period of my life was one in which I had a lot of confusion going on about religion, our purpose in life, etc. I found myself wondering about the morals regarding pornography, aldutery, lust, and the like. This particular night, one of the few in which I actually prayed, I asked "God" to help me understand all the things in my head that were dealing with this issue. I wanted to know how he felt about everything. I found myself falling to sleep when all of a sudden, an unfamiliar voice popped into my head and said, as clear as someone standing right beside me, "Galatians 5:17." I was immediately more awake and wondering what had just happened. I looked around the dark room and everything seemed normal. I laid there for at least 45 more minutes just wondering what had happened and if I actually had heard what I thought I had. Needless to say, I was uneasy. I told myself that if I remembered it in the morning, I would look it up in my Bible. I was a little too shaken to get up and check at that time.

What struck me as odd, was that Galatians isn't a book you hear a whole lot about, and why a number popped in my head with it. The next morning, I did remember, and I can still hear it just like it was yesterday. I got my Bible, and to my astonishment, here is what it read....

"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. "

It seemed like a direct answer to my question....

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That was the first time something of that nature happened, I also had a similar experience:

I was depressed, down, and low on Faith at one point after this initial incident...I was becoming concerned with wordly affairs and letting things bring me down....

I again, which I still rarely do, prayed one night...I asked "God" to give me a sign....let me know he was still with me.....let me know the last time wasn't just me hearing things....

The next morning, on the way to work, almost immediately after getting off my road, I got behind someone who's license plate read "PSALM121".....upon arriving to work, I looked the verse up online:

"I lift up my eyes to the hills --
where does my help come from?
My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.

He will not let your foot slip --
He who watches over you will not slumber;
indeed, He who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.

The LORD watches over you --
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.

The LORD will keep you from all harm --
He will watch over your life;
the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forever more."

Again, this seemed to be a direct answer to what I asked for..Pretty much saying that God is always with you...was a coincidence? maybe....but it just seems like another example of people seeing things when they need an inspiration.....

Does "God" talk to people? My answer would be yes......but I think most of the time, you have to humble yourself enough to talk to him first......

I agree with you wholeheartedly for we live in a universe where even Jesus prays to God. It always has astounded me when others dare think that God does not exist and refuses to believe that he has serendipitously controlled virtually everything. He does and there is actually a female part to God, or Prime Creator if you will, of whom used to be relevant when Atlantis was still around. We are now converging into a wonderful new age of technology, but does this newfangled efficiency led to an increase or decrease in our freedoms is something we won't really know. However, what we do know is that as long as we don't refuse God and his often times bizzare ways is we will be assured of some rights always remaining intact. We can be crazy all we want I guess, but it is the rediculous individual who allows themself to take offense to any of the realities within either their direct environment or the world in general. There will be Caesars and there will be items of side-tracking interest, but you will always have God as someone to rely on no matter how dicey your situation may be.

personally Jsquared....I think you answered your own question IN YOUR HEAD..."God" had nothing to do with it.

mmm carl sagan my other favorite flavor.

The idea that God is an oversized white male with a flowing beard who sits in the sky and tallies the fall of every sparrow is ludicrous. But if by God one means the set of physical laws that govern the universe, then clearly there is such a God. This God is emotionally unsatisfying... it does not make much sense to pray to the law of gravity. [Carl Sagan]

Bingo!!!!!

That is what religion made out of a creator.

It took him from the classics Greek mythology of Zeus.

You want to know what I have seen.

A light, a flame of pure white from where many other lights came from and each of those lights were pure and they were individual souls.

That is what I saw, not a man or a women God but lights many lights and one center from where all of them came forward.

The Humanization of God and his gender is the only way that many can understand what a creator may look like.

The gender came from religion itself to make the male of the species the ruler and patriarch.

Very simple.

Rumor has it that he has indeed been reincarnated. Can you guess who? He's not King James because that would actually be Jesus. I'll give you a hint: he's a famous and very serious figure in the twentieth century with a gigantic sized ego.

I have spent 30 years studying God. During one of the low points in my life he "spoke" with me. Not out loud but with the written word (as in "In the beginning was the Word . . . ) He wrote stories in my bible. He's producing an awesome movie with singing, dancing and lots of rock and roll (Yes, he loves Rock and Roll and hates hymns) We will all watch it from the stars and its truth will set us free.

I am not writing this to make anyone think I am special or different. I am writing ibecause it makes me sad to see the comments from people who don't believe in God. He's out there. He affects my life every day. I want people to know that although we are now living through some of the darkest times we have seen on earth the light is there waiting for us when we turn the bend toward eternity. Patience. Just have patience. And pay very close attention to your dreams, particularly in the next few months. And remember to be nice. He sees you always. You don't want to get left behind for being an ***hole.

People do not understand how powerful God is. He spoke and the universe came into existence. When He returns at armageddon, and those who are getting ready to fight each other, and decide to fight Him instead. All He will do is speak a word and the battle will be over. Our concept of who God is is He is a god when in reality He is the GOD.

Because God has revealed Himself through the Bible. God will not contradict Himself. The Bible is the standard of who God is that we need to read so we know who He is and what He is like.

God does also give plain answers. You need to read my earlier post. But He will not contradict what He says in the Bible. If what you believe you heard from God contradicts what is in the Bible then it was not God who spoke to you. And there is only one God, Jesus Christ.

God became a human so that He could give His life as a ransom for us. We don't make God human, He did it for us.

Hello there, I think I will chime in on this one. Is there a supreme being? Yes, have I heard him, no felt yes, but not heard. But I prefer to think like what was in the movie Dogma. I do not believe God would speak. Not that God does not want to speak, but to hear the voice of God, and I can only imagine it would be probably the last sound any one would hear, would be deafing and as well studied as I am, would essentially destroy what I am. I think God directs other beings to speak for him. Is God good? Define good. I do know that ultimately Evil is the subversion of Free Will.
