A majority of Muslims are evil . . because they don't strap TNT to their kids chest doesn't mean they are not. Here's the reason why, a majority of them stay silent when an attack is carried out by Muslims . . Yeah ok. So what I'm comparing Muslims to is the German people of the 1940's. 1) I think it is unfair to expect a member of a minority to bad mouth his own people. To do that makes them a lackey. I heard this lament urged in the 1960s. If it was not just disingeneous then it was asking more of people that I suspect we would give if the circumstances were reversed. And even if they did, it is meaningless because they are a minority and the radicals would pay them no heed.
2) It is true - so I believe - that most Germans who knew of the Holocaust preferred to ignore it. By 1941, dissenters were only going to join the Jewish people in Auschwitz and etc. Martin Niemoller wrote this in “First They Came For the Jews.” See below.
3) If I was a cop I’d want all the protection I could get. My ‘Job 1' as Ford used to boast, would be to get safely home to my family at the end of each shift. OTOH, I do not like to see my police look like storm troopers. It brings back too many bad memories of former times. There must be another and better way.
4) It’s a quibble, but if you are thinking a Thompson .45 is harder hitting than an M16, I’d differ with you. Of course, if you’re thinking of a BAR, then you’re right. My only knowledge of gunnery in the 1920s comes from movies. Which I realize is based on what the prop room stocks.
5) Same complaint re LA armored cars as in #3. I’d rather pay much extra to have “ordinary” cars dismantled and reconstructed with full armor than to see armored cars running in my streets. It’s perspective. or perception.
6) Correct on the “NWO conspiracy.” But there have been times when the R&Fs were neither so powerful nor so greedy. I’d offer the 1929-1945 period was the most egalitarian and least selfish times maybe ever in the US.

I'm neither shocked or surprised by the attack. Or, angered for that matter. I'm not the one having an emotional response when I can't get everyone else to agree with everything I believe, no matter how wild or unsubstantiated. Since its not possible to prove a negative the shoe is actually on the other foot. It's up to you to prove the existence of the "Illuminati". It's a belief in the Illuminati that is not normal. Not the other way around.

These beliefs are held by a relatively small group of people who seem to be willing to believe anything negative about anyone in authority. I think the cause is a feeling of helplessness at not being able to control perceived threats around them and it leaves them vulnerable to exploitation by evil people who empty their wallets by playing on their fears. There is also a group that joins in just to be a part of something bigger than themselves. We as humans have a need for this and most fill this void with religion or membership in organizations like the Masons. It's an irony that the same emotional need leads to both sides of the coin. Being a believer in all of these wild conspiracies gives one a sense of belonging to a larger community and something important. It makes one feel like they matter.

Historically there was a group called the Illuminati but there does not appear to be verifiable proof that this group in fact exists today. You are asking people to accept a lot of wild speculation without any real evidence. As to the "New World Order" there has always been a school of thought that a world governed by one rule of law under a democratic system is the ultimate goal. There is nothing evil in that as far as an idea goes. That is what Bush Sr. was referring too rather than this giant Masonic conspiracy that has usurped the phrase and twisted it to meet their view of the world. If your talking about the rich and powerful manipulating world affairs to their financial advantage I'd agree. That is now and has always been a roadblock to a truly free society. It's this giant conspiracy of tens or possibly hundreds of thousands of people being actively involved in a cover-up without anyone ever leaking the truth that defies all logic. To actually pull off many of these acts you accuse them of, would require the silence of far to many people to have this assertion have any credibility. I think the truth is there are conspiracies and lots of them, but people are trying to link them all together in one neat little package. That boat just does not float.

If you are looking for a conspiracy to explain terrorism, open your eyes. Its not being hidden. It's right out in the open for all to see. The terrorists are just who they claim to be. A bunch of wild anarchists from the third world acting out a dream to control the world through terror and violence. They want to force their views on all of us and make us adhere to their bastardized version of the Islamic faith. It has been this way for a thousand years or more. When they don't have an opportunity to savage others they turn on each other. We see evidence of that every day. What makes it different now is that they are trying to bring powerful weapons into the equation which is a whole new ballgame. If we do not find a way to stop them now I'm afraid millions will die before this is over. If they ever should gain control the real nightmare will begin. It overwhelms my senses to see people who claim to be for peace siding with these butchers. There can be no peace as long as these people exist.

Somehow a large part of the population naively believes that if we just ignore these butchers they will go away on their own. If we just sit at a table with them and talk nicey nice they will stop being crazed homicidal mad men. They are just misunderstood. That way leads to the end of civilization and the start of a society so horrible I would rather die with a gun in my hand than live in it.

I apologize for the children remark, but to me you are still very young and twenty or thirty years from now when you realize the realities of this world you will look back and have a good laugh at all the wild things you believed. We are either headed for the best 20 years in history or the worst. It depends on whether or not we have the courage to stop these mad men we call terrorists right now while we still can. That is if it is not already to late. Its a whole new game when that child with a bomb strapped to them is right here in our back yard blowing up our loved ones. Don't be fooled, that's exactly what is going to happen if we do not act decisively right now.

There is a real problem out there. For whatever reason and no one has seriously attempted to learn why OBL did what he did, but it is an undeniable fact, the Nine Eleven Event was horrendous. Now Bush43 from the begining has wanted to equate it to World War 2 or at least to the Civil War so as to make him so much more important and so much greater in legacy than any before him

Just afer the South Tower of the WTC fell, Bush43 got a call from his father - I’m guessing - saying, “You have just been reelected in 2004!” War trumps economy!

Instead of siting down with his own advisers and with some senior Members of Congress, like 2 Dems and 2 GOPs from the House and Senate, total of 8, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff and the CIA and FBI heads, and have a “free for all” session of what happened, who did it, why did they do it, what can we do and what must we do? Maybe go 30 or 40 hours straight through as in the JFK and Cuba Missile Crisis. Get it together, get a consensus and get moving!

Instead it looks to me as if VP Cheney, Karl Rove and the Oberfuhrer, Don Rumsfeld, worked this thing out between the 4 of them. We know they did not consult Colin Powell. The one man they really should have. But they did not want "sound" advice. They wanted WAR advice. We doubt Condo Rice did more than bring the coffee.

So I do not deny the Nine Eleven Event occurred, I just am so sorry that the consequences have been so badly handled. And I feel sure Bush43 thinks it is great because it save his sorry butt in 2002, and again in 2004, and he again with Tony Blair’s help, is trying hard to save his butt in 2006. We’ll see what we’ll see.

What do you have to say about people in other parts of the world who sexually objectify women, kill, rape, or beat them? Does the fact this goes on in many places mean that everyone is evil? No, however there are evil people amongst good people.

My father comes from Colombia. He's seen a woman shot in the face, still alive, dragging herself along the road trying to get the words "help me" out, while choking on her own blood. I have a thread about police militarization and I'd like to debate it with you because you obviously haven't got a clue. What I noticed about you is that you blindly present, and misrepresent things without putting up facts. You seem to have the impression that nothing has changed. Are you willing to deny the use of sound frequency cannons (as used in the middle east), automatic weapons, and the fact that police are now being trained by, and working with the military? It makes no difference where you're from. It's happening here as well. Please give me an example of a police-issued, hand-held weapon in the 1920's that was more powerful than a modern machine gun. You're refering to when Governor Rhodes ordered the National Guard troops onto Kent State University? If you are, that's old news, and you fail to make the distinction between the national guard and the police. THAT'S NOT THE POLICE; HELLO??
