CNN Finally Discusses Edited Images From Lebanon

It's taken a little while, but CNN has finally discussed the edited pictures coming out of Lebanon.

CNN, in all of their fair reporting, has finally joined the bandwagon and reported on this doctoring controversy...Accusing Israel of doing so. Of course.

Here's the story:

It's masked in the story talking about the Lebanese army, but the accusations against Israel are intermingled through the story:

However, it is possible that unpleasant parts of the video were deleted during editing.

The actions, as depicted in a video where parts may have been deleted and edited, could suggest the Lebanese army is weak and unable to take southern Lebanon back from Hezbollah without help.

The article then goes on to explain why the video was probably doctored: Hezbollah says so, and we know from CNN's willingness to be Hezbollah's PR team in the US, their word is golden:

Lebanese intelligence said the Israeli troops met no resistance when they entered the town. Arab-language network Al-Jazeera has quoted Hezbollah as saying "violent battles" took place with their militants, and Arab news networks Al-Manar and Al-Arabiya reported at least two Israeli tanks were destroyed in the fighting.

Well, why wouldn't they implicate Israel? Israel runs its own propoganda matrix like every other country, and they certainly would use it to their advantage.

To balance it out, you have to show that both sides are involved in doctoring photos and stories for propoganda.

In CNN's case, there's no reason they wouldn't.

However, if we were to pretend CNN doesn't have an anti-Israel agenda, then there would be at least a couple of reasons that come immediately to mind.

First, Hezbollah says they fought Israel. Israel releases a video taken from said "battle" where no shots are fired. CNN's logical conclusion? The tape must be edited. You have Israel saying, "nothing happened" and releasing evidence supporting that nothing happened, but a terrorist organization says otherwise. Therefore, Israel must be lying and just edited out all the fighting.

So I would content reporting as they did, CNN started with a conclusion (Hezbollah is telling the truth) and tried to validate that conclusion despite the complete lack of evidence (and evidence present supporting the opposite conclusion).

Second, CNN was silent over all the doctored photos staged/changed by pro-Hezbollah reporters. CNN stays silent until they have an opportunity to implicate Israel. If they were to maintain a policy of not reporting propaganda, fine, but instead they're part of the propaganda for Hezbollah by only reporting information that tries to implicate Israel.
