The U.S. won't confirm it. In fact officials are skeptical, but there are now reports that Matiur Rehman was just captured in Pakistan.

Matiur Rehman is supposed to be al-qaeda's #3 man just under Ben laden, and Zawahiri. He is supposed to be the man with the rolodex of all the al-queda operatives. He is also supposed to be involved with the British Airline Plot. He has been billed as The Man Who Is Planning the Next Attack on America.

So what do you think, did they get him?
Is he all that?
Will he lead them to Osama?

Or is it just more hype?

Here is another link.

Matiur Rehman, who is believed to be a high-ranking leader in al-Qaeda's Pakistan operations, was captured in the Pakistani city of Bahawalpur.

Rehman was a member of Harakat-ul-Jihad-ul-Islami (HUJI) and Lashkar-e-Jhangvi (LeJ). As the "keeper of the Jihadi Rolodex," the list of the tens of thousands of jihadis who passed through al-Qaeda's training camps,

I guess nobody cares. I sometimes wonder if there'll be any reaction when Osama is finally caught, other than the obligatory 2 page thread in the war on terror forum before we all go back to posting about reptilian shapeshifters.
