I'm hoping this is the right forum section, I don't see any other place to post this.

For weeks now I've seen this advertisement banner on numerous webpages with it flashing this freaky fish-looking thing and have recently tried to figure out what this is, since it the site the advertisement directs me to something comepletely different than what the ad was showing.

Here's a screenshot of the banner. I'm assuming that this not real, but I'd like to know as much info on this as possible, just to put my mind at ease.

looks like one of those "mystical creatures" that guy on ebay was selling, the guy with the mermaid, anyone got a link to the mermaid, take a look at the other stuff he's sold, some of it looks like that

the banner really atracts you; ''BANNED IN 21 STATES!!'' when a picture of a freak-looking creature is with that sentence, i have the urge to check it out.

I'm pretty sure it's a wax sculpture. You can tell because the red and wrinkles around the eyes are done poorly in proportion to the mouth.

Can you give me a link to the sites you are finding these ads on. Those might be the poorest banners I've seen. And the ad site they apparently linked to was done by someone with alot more skill. In other words I don't think the banners are truely for that site. I'm inclined to believe that that coupled with your screenshot of the ad, showing open windows expected for a young beginner designer, is evidence that the banners were created by you.
If I'm wrong, you can curse me and I'm sorry, but If I'm right... nice try
Keep it up though, good design skills come with experience.

hehe... nice ad, everyone wants to click that

still something is strange, it's an ad that tells you to NOT click on it (if your under 18 ) While most ads are like: CLICK HERE!!!!!!

It's a form of reverse Psychology! You tell the kid not to click it if you realy do want them too.....Then you have kids begging to go to Disney. It's pretty sneaky really

BTW that's how I got my nephew to eat things he didn't want to eat.... I'd tell him "Don't you eat that" He ate it all every single time. I do realize there are kids that this doesn't work on
