ok so i was watching tv and then this story comes on and i was like "holy s***!" this is the last story i expected to ever hear. apparently they have a confession, and its from a guy from thailand. authorities say that he gave info about the case that only the murder could have known. and get this...the guy is a school teacher

here is a snippet

A man arrested in Thailand is being held in connection with the slaying of JonBenet Ramsey, law enforcement officials said today.
Federal officials familiar with the case, who spoke with the Associated Press on condition of anonymity, said the man was being held in Bangkok on unrelated sex charges.

ARTICLE

there is one thing that just doesnt sit right though, and this is why i thought the mom or dad was guilty, why right a ransom note that was so particular like the one they had, when the kid is dead in the persons house? that never sat right with me.

It's all over the news, the man a 41 year old American said he did not intend to kill the 6 year old girl, Jon Benet that he intended to kidnap her and did not mean to kill her. He said he was in love with her. So perhaps he wrote the note before he killed her or maybe to set the parents up as suspects. He has confessed to her murder from I heard on the news.

Since many perverts go to that country because its noted for its Prostitutes and Child prostitutes it doesn't surprise me that this guy was caught there and that he was confessing a love for her, a minor. Hes a freekin Child Molestor. Too bad they can't hve him arrested and sentenced over there. They'd treat him real good. He'd be lucky if he got to eat one cockaroach a day.

I hope that is true, but after reading several articles, I doubt it is-- even with his confesion.

For example:

Suspect obsessed by child slayings

The man busted for the notorious murder of little beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey was a would-be author obsessed with killers who commit horrible crimes against children, his brother said last night.

John Mark Karr, 42, was described as a smart and wonderful family man who taught school and in his spare time was researching a book on heinous crimes involving kids.

...

Nate Karr said he didn't know what sparked his brother's interest in child-killers.

He said his brother would research police and coroner reports and even tried to contact several murderers of kids.

"He got involved as much as he possibly could, but he never, to my knowledge, ever contacted the Ramsey family," he said.

"That's what he was interested in, getting into the nitty-gritty, into the minds of these people to write a real exposé kind of manuscript. I think he just got in too far, too deep, without explanation, and the FBI or whatever picked up on it."

It also appears he lived in Alabama at the time of the murders.

While also a convicted child pornography offender, I'm worried this guy is *a* nutcase, but not *the* nutcase. This could be some sicko attempt to "live" the enforcement actions of such child murderers for his book....or to satisfy his deranged fascination.

We'll have to see what physical evidence, if any, materializes in this case.

Well after watching several hours of coverage it was revealed that the parents were aware that they were closing in on the suspect, so the Mom was aware that they knew who had done it and was on his trail before she died, he apparently had been flagged as someone who was wanted by the the USA and when he applied at a school for a job (I think it was an all girl school) he was arrested. I'm assuming when they did a background check but that was never really made clear.

I'm sure there will be more info soon, one odd thing is they had him at the news conference early on, apparently he wanted to make a statement and changed his mind. He is a very slight small man in weight, reminded me a bit of Ted Bundy in that he was someone who was not bad looking and looked like a nice guy.

I wonder if the unknown DNA found on the girls underwear will be enough to make a match and prove beyond a shadow of a doubt he is the murderer.

As I understand it, he apparently made himself a suspect by continued email contact over several years with a university professor working on the case.

I really question whether this guy had anything to do with it too...there doesn't seem to be anything revealed yet to link him to the case other than his so-called confession. I think we need to wait and see if there is any hard evidence.

I agree I think he is a whack job looking for fame. She was killed by someone in the family.

i dont think she was killed by someone in the family. i have been watching this guy on the news for the past 2 days , and everytime he looks in the camera, all i see is evil in his eyes.

he knew things about the case that no one else would know. i heard this morning on the news John Ramsey ( JonBenets father) telling his suprise when he got the call that the man had confessed. when mr. ramsey asked if he said anything incriminating that would allow him to beleive that this is the killer ( so he dont get his hopes up again.) the police told mr. Ramsey that the things that the suspect said was pretty bad and they think he would rather not know what was said.

he suspect said that it was a " kidnapping gone bad" he claims to be in love Jon Benet and never meant to kill her. the killing was an accident he said.

i think he did it. he was in thailand when they caught him. isnt thailand where you can buy like 10 year old prostitues?he was living in the district of thailand that catered to sex tourists. he has had many accounts with child pornography and he was a school teacher!! ( thats scary)
well heres the link to show the story

he apparently sent letters to the mother, expressing his regret for the crime. he never lived in Colorado and there has been talk that perhaps he is seeking some fame for this and is not, in actuality, the killer.

it should also be pointed out that he was, apparently, arrested in Thailand for an unrelated sex crime. If that is true, perhaps he figures the US court system is a better place to be tried for a crime he did not really commit.

just a thought.

This guy's a patsy.......no doubt. Possibly mind controlled just like JonBenet's mother.

Didn't they prove that the ransom letter was written in Patsy Ramsey's handwriting? That and the way the case has been mishandled and stalled from day one leads me to believe that JonBenet was part of some ritual or sacrifice for whatever reason, and powers behind the scenes were controlling the investigation.

I'd tend to believe that mother godess' story before I'd believe that this dude had anything to do with it. The parents were most definitely in on it.

Also, as soon as the press reports that this guy is a child pornagrapher and molester, he's automatically guilty in the eye's of the public. They've probably been grooming this guy for some time.

Peace

I don't believe it for one minute. I think he is looking for attention. He looks shady to me and perverse. What I mean by that is that I think he enjoys the kinky and is looking for the limelight for exposure because it's erotic to him.
His story is already beginning to show holes in it such as he says he drugged her then had sex with her and then oops she accidently got strangled. But reports for the last 10yrs state she was battered and bruised.

How could her body gotten that way accidently? Ok maybe he was rough but it doesn't really jive for me.

I'll await to hear more.

Oh boy - here I go again.
We have this guy. He admitted it. He did it.
So how many countless dollars are we going to spend on
1) transportation expenses just to get him here
2) Trial, and re-trials
3) The costs associated with keeping this scumbag monster alive, such as food, clothes, and the like.

HE DID IT! Why not just execute him immediately?

How about, innocent until proven guilty in a court of law by a jury of his peers?!? Let's please at least stick to what parts of the Constitution we have left, please?

I am very happy to see that this can now be put to rest for the family. Also in a small way, it puts things to rest for me. One of the original suspects in this lived in my place before I did and I was constantly getting people knocking on my door wanting to ask me questions about this. Happy to see it finally come to light, happy that he finally allowed this information to come forward to give peace to the family, and happy to know they can no longer worry about being suspects in the death of their own daughter!

We don't know that he did it, it may seem crazy but people admit to crimes they didn't commit all the time. There's no evidence that he ever came in contact with this family or ever visited Boulder CO in his life. He seemed to have gotten a bizarre obsession with the case and may have even convinced himself he did it even though he didn't.

I'm not saying he didn't do it, I have no idea...but don't you think it's best to be sure? If we just summarily execute this guy, we may be leaving a child-killer on the street.
