That is a curious thought that I've wondered myself. Could it be that predictions from minds that are not in tune with the Universal Consciousness cause the predicted event to not occur, specifically? As opposed to minds that are in tune, or are channeled, predicting with accuracy?

Also Griff, Cayce often refers to the Akashic Record, which poses another problem: If someone can actually change the future through prediction, then how could someone do so without consulting the Akashic Record? And further, if you are suggesting that Cayce himself may have changed the future through his predictions, I think many might argue that that would be impossible due to the Akashic Record itself already containing the data. Just a thought.

And Mike, hi, nice to make your acquaintance here. I was pretty amazed myself at "The Sleeping Prophet." Always wanted to visit ARE in Va Beach, and will some day. Glad to have a member of A.R.E. here, and look forward to more of your posts regarding Cayce. I'm not sure I buy the reincarnation guy thing, but honestly haven't looked really deep into it. You really think it's true?

The peace of God to all that belong to the light,
Dear Readers,

I am a psychic that has been posted threads in BTS since begining of 2007 with a high percentage of accomplished predictions. I am interested in your thread of Edgar Cayce, the dreamed viewer as was known in the 1920's and 1930's, specially with respect to his predictions of WWIII and in particular about the role of Russia in that conflict.

I claim that the time of the WWIII is our epoch and that we are going to see how the current conflict in the middle east will evolute so fast and dramatically toward a generalized international conflict of catatrophic consequences, boosted by a world Economical crisis that will put two economies in course of collition: The Chinese and the American.

if you want to know more about this pls chk my threads about this topic at:

The Third world War?(2008-2012)/ www.belowtopsecret.com...

Surprising military attack in Asia, something unimaginable will occur: end of 2007 or 2008/

New powers that now are out of the middle east war will enter on it: (2009-2012)/

Although I agree with what you both stated, the world as we know it has changed significantly since the turn of the century.

Hi,
Well, Yes Edgar Cayce was a man born in the XIX century however his outstanding psychic view was able to predict many years before crucial events of the XX century like:
- The crash of the stock markets in 1929
- The great depression of the 1930's
- The Spanish Civil War
- The transformation of Germany into a Third Reich covering more than half of Europe.
- The japanese attack of Pearl Harbor of 1941
- The deaths of two American Presidents in office: FDR & JFK
- The fall of comunism in Russia in 1991
- The change in the magnetic poles of the earth that started at the end of 1980's
- he even discovered the existence of the long economic cycle of 25 years that mark the break points in the performance of the world economy.

He pointed years in advance to the coming of TV, fax, telex, expanded stock ticker-tape services, and microwave transmission on land to replace copper wire.

So Cayce is still updated in many aspects as a viewer, there are many of his predictions that are still pending of accomplishment with respect to our epoch.

Thanks for your reply,

your friend,

The Angel of lightness

The Peace of God to all that belong to the light,
Dear Readers,

Edgar Cayce predicted that in modern times, after the fall of Communism that he already predicted too, Russia will have a so important future role to save of the West civilization in its most critical hour, providing a new genre of superior civilization.

I would like to share with you my recent post in the thread:

Ancient & Lost Civilizations » What Happened to the White Russians?

www.abovetopsecret.com...

In that Thread I am disclosing the mystery of the so important contribution of a fallen civilization that spreaded its light in the XX Century in almost all the Sciences and Arts boosting in a so impressive way the advance of the West countries.

I am explaining there how White Russians intellectuals in all the academic disciplines emerged as the last beams of a Modern Atlantis that spreaded its light in the Art & Science to the world.

This is a unique case in modern times of an entire civilization that fell to became in many aspects the mother-Civilization of the incredible advance registered on the XX century in Science, Technology and Art in Europe & America.

I think Cayce viewed that again in the XXI Century Russia will be the source of new understanding about the complexity of the Human condition and that immense land with its so interesting history in which all the possible political systems existed ( Autocracy, Constitutional Monarchy, Communist Dictatorship, Socialist Perestroika and now Democracy) will provide a new genre of Social and political order for the humanity.

it is also interested to point that Cayce probably was influenced or knew a about the works in parapsicology of the famous Russian Traveler Elena Petrovna Gan, better known as Helena Blavatsky or Madame Blavatsky , the founder of the Theosophical Society and author of the famous esoteric book the Secret Doctrine( pls chk: en.wikipedia.org...)
, that claimed to be inspired in her trips to Tibet, nepal and India and supposely recorded the ancient wisdom of the disapeared civilizations of Lemuria and Atlantis.

Thanks for your atention,

your friend,

The Angel of lightness

One thing I do remember Cayce saying about his own predictions, was that they weren't written in stone and they may not happen exactly when or the way he described them. In fact some of them may not even occur at all. Why you may ask? This is due to the free will of humankind as a whole and other outside influences. I guess we've done a better job at improving ourselves and our world than Cayce originally foresaw. Many of the more violent earth changes Cayce predicted have been lessened and extended out by the Creator through his great mercy and love for humankind.

Edward himself did say to challenge his prophecies other than taking them into faith and facts show his prophecies were rather low in the spectrum of accuracy.
However, I'm still fascinated in his story but take his words, as I do all things, into not skeptical but discriminating account. If anything else it's still a great ride to be mystified.

Hello everyone, I was watching History Channel this evening and they broadcasted a show about Edgar Cayce's predictions.
To be honest, I'm shocked. He predicted everything, since 29's crisis to WWI and II.

For those who doesn't know who is he and what he predicted:
Edgar Cayce's A.R.E.: www.are-cayce.com...
Some of his predictions: www.near-death.com...

So, I decided to research a little bit more about his predictions about the future and found something about "Polar Axis Shift", Atlantis and specially WW3 as you can see in the second link that I provided, some points he presented are really plausible:

There is a possibility of a World War III
Cayce foresaw the possibility of a third world war. He spoke of strife arising near the Davis Straits, and in Libya, and in Egypt, in Ankara, and in Syria; through the straits around those areas above Australia, in the Indian Ocean and the Persian Gulf.

Middle-east huh?

Does this sound familiar to some UFO sightings?

Cayce's glimpse of his next incarnation and a view into the future
"Taking me with them the group of scientists visited these places in a long, cigar-shaped metal flying ship which moved at a high speed.

True or not, it's pretty amazing, worth giving a look / research.
Enjoy.

EDIT: Tag corrections, and sorry about the "bad english!

Flash forward 5 years! Could it now be relevant?
I was doing a google search on Edgar Cayce when I found this old thread, and thought hmmm, maybe we should take another look.

First of all Mike, I mean no disrespect here when I submit any corrections. I just know how easy it is to over-look certain passages or readings that may give a legitimate answer to others questions. Also, it is sometimes very difficult to find what Edgar Cayce may or may not have said about a particular subject due to not typing in the correct 'search terms'. I feel that the language he used in the readings make it more difficult, not knowing for sure what terms to use and trying to guess what terms he did use in the readings. These give reason why one may believe that Edgar Cayce didn't say or mention this or that.

In RE of the following state made by you in the above post ;

The first thing I want to clear up is this. He never once made any predictions about aliens. The only "alien" he every talked about in his readings were in regard to how our souls were NOT alien from the souls that reside in the netherworld.

Edgar Cayce DID in fact mention Aliens and contact with them during a past life reading he did with a female, age 44-

Here is an excerpt of Edgar Cayce READING 1616-1

26. Before this we find the entity was in the land now known as the Mexican and Yucatan land, during those periods when there were the voices of the peoples in the land proclaiming that there had come a new revelation to those that had been strangers in a portion of the land.

27. The entity was among the priestesses of the Mayan experience. It was just before that period when those as from the east had come, and there were the beginnings of the unfoldments of the understanding that there were other portions of the same land, or those that were visiting from other worlds or planets. [GD's note: Psychic experiences of prehistory? Space Ships, flying saucers?]

28. The entity journeyed with those from her own abode, where there were those attempts for the closer communion, and the material things had brought distortions in the experience.

29. For blood had been spilled in sacrifice, and these were as torments to the entity; yet the counselors and those in the positions of trust had ordered thus.

30. Hence we find in the present experience those things that require the spilling of blood, as of sacrifices that take hold upon the destruction of others, become as torments as it were to the entity.

31. Yet we find how and why, from those experiences, the entity seeks to delve into the mysteries of those who have set this or that as a pattern of rote to and through which minds may be bent or trained to acquiring certain EXPERIENCES in their material life.

In 1958 the Bimini road was discovered

It was 1968, NOT 1958. Cayce stated between 1968-1969. The Bimini Road was discovered in 1968.

Like Cayce, but from what I've read about him and predictions over the years, like all channelers, he was not infallible and sometimes his predictions didn't pan out.

Why can't a site just post a list of the predictions??

I believe Edgar.. that is until he predicted the end of the world before the turn of the century and Atlantis rising from the sea before the turn of the century. None of which has happend.

Yep... he also predicted that the East Coast would be underwater before the turn of the 21st century. Nope... still high and dry.

Cayce may have been a prophet and spiritual healer but he certainly didn't predict "everything" and most of his predictions didn't pan out.

Anyway, a psychologist friend of his suggested meditation.

It was actually Self-Hypnosis, not meditation.

Also, it was more about spiritual growth and development. He was raised in a strict Catholic family. So you probably have an idea what kind of shock it was to him when his wife would read back to him what he spoke. Especially on reincarnation, Jesus and Magdalane, Atlantis, and various other spiritual beliefs. He was shocked to say the least and had to pray many hours to calm himself.

I do believe Edgar Cayce was Baptist, but definately not Catholic.

There is a psychologist that started out his career as most doctor's do. With a scientific view on the world but after years of putting people under hypnosis he has come to believe that there is much much more out there. His name is John Van Auken.

Please see below that A.R.E. Director, John Van Auken is not a psychologist.

You're just guessing.... that's one of my pet peaves and inexcusable in this day and age.

Cacye was a Christian and lifelong member of the Disciples of Christ Church

Yes, I was guessing that I believe he may have been Baptist (I did NOT state this as FACT), and made myself clear enough that I 'was' guessing, and know it for fact that he was NOT raised a catholic.

Though I do indeed admit, I 'should' have looked in Wikipedia as well. Would have saved me from your unwarranted scorn.

And please chastise someone who'll put up with it. As for me I haven't the patience for it.
