I WOULD like some one to tell ME where the Lebanonese soldiers were when there homes were being bombed and destroyed.

They let the Hezbollah do all the fighting .And now we are tolded that they are going to guard there country. Well I think they should of been helping defend there homes, not letting the Hezbollah
do it all.
Why do the the Lebanonese people Take their money their help ?
The Lebonese people just sat back and let them do their thing.
So just tell me where they were hiding?
there was NO winner every one lost .who is the leader ? Hezbollah ,or the Lebanonese ?

This war is not over. They will fight again just like they have for a thousand years.

The Lebanese army were in their Barracks. They were also escorting some of the people that were fleeing.

As far as I know I never heard about Lebanon fighting with Jews for 1000 years. That was Europeans killing them and throwing them out for almost 2 thousand years in recent history. Its pretty impossible that this occurred since most jews were not even in the Middle East save for a minority and they were getting along with Lebanese just fine up until the beggining/Mid 20th Century.

Well that was just a figure of speech, so its been hundreds of years..the point is why didn't they at least TRY to protect their own people ??

Is that all they could do? Escort the fleeing people?

I think the Lebonese people should revolt and take their country BACK from those blood thirsty terrorists.

Maybe because they knew that while Israel was stating very clearly it was after Hesbollah and ONLY Hesbollah, if they had intervened, they'd be labeled as an other rabbit Middle Eastern Country hellbent to destroy Israel and then Israel would've had the excuse they've been looking for to attack all of Lebanon.

Also, Lebanon's army is tiny, the military was focussing on evacutations and damage control, the Lebanees army is in no way equiped or anywhere near sizeable enough to counter Israel.

Not to mention that most of Israel's attacks were high altitude air based, up high where anti aircraft defences have little to no effect and Lebanon has only a few (and I mean 1 to 10) operational military jets that wouldn't stand much chance against Israel's US donated high tech military arsenal.

Because the lebanese government failed to do that a long time ago. The u.n passed resolution sayin that lebanon must disband and disarm hezbollah. They didnt do it. So,israeli soldiers get kidnapped,and israel uses this to try to take out hezbollah. All the while everyone is asking why the lebanese gov't isnt doin anything to protect its citizens.

If lebanon got rid of hezbollah when asked,this mess wouldnt have even happened.

Well they should if the Lebanese army was capable of doing anything about it. They are definitly not able to keep the other blood-thirsty terrorists on the Israeli side of the border at bay, thats for sure. The army is underfunded, under-equipped and undertrained. It should have been the Lebanese army shooting the f-16's and UAV's that continually crossed the border after 2000 pullout by Israel instead of Hizbollah. The problem is that many of those people in the army were easily bought and paid for by Israel and the people in the south don't trust them to keep them safe.

It would be nice if someone would just answer the topic I thought I was going to get some good feed back

The Lebanese military was not the one that was attacked by Israel, they were busy taking care of the refugees.

Israel was attacking hezbollah fighters.

They Lebanese government did what was best in their interest, no to get involve in the Israel offensive against hezbollah.

They would have been targeted as terrorist if they did.

How do you know this would be so? They attacked the first time and Hizbollah didn't exist. If Palestinian refugees were to attack them they would do the same thing. You don't know for sure what they are thinking. They were flying over Lebanon constantly and not just over Hizbollah territory the past 6 years after they pulled out. For all you know they might be occupying Lebanon and annexing part of it by now if Hizbollah wasn't around. Israel has only exhibited that they are a Militaristic state thats intent on expansion and opression. Nothing at all to do with peaceful co-existance. They believe everyone is out to exterminate them and paranoids should never be trusted. God only knows what they may think someone is trying to do. Just look at Iran how long they have been babbling on about Iran having the bomb. 10 years! Something is wrong there. Either that or its an act.

Actually Marge yes they were attacked..a few dozen were killed while in their barracks when Israel bombed them. I think it was 36 soldiers or possibly more.

Yeah, but like I said, Israel made it clear that it was not intentional (yeah right, ...) and that they were only after Hesbollah before and after this happend, but between the lines "keep out of this or your next" has always been clear to be the real message.

I'm wondering if that attack on those Lebanees baracks might have been an attempt to lure the Lebanees army into retaliation.

Its imho commendable that the Lebanees kept their heads cool and didn't give in to the constant luring and taunting and with that may have stopped a full out war in the region from happening. Its not sure thats the case, but them keeping it cool definatly kept things manageable for diplomats.

Lebonese army couldnt protect their people thats why. Hizbo runs Lebo. Thats why Lebo is not making them (Hizbo) disarm right now which threatens the "peace". Lebo cant impose any will on Hizbullah.

Seems they are more worried about Israels image and weaponry then the Lebanese civilians that were killed and the Lebanese property that was needlessly damaged by israel. To supposedly be Lebanese and to say that the attacks were Justified when even international Politicians, Journalists, Citizens agreed that Israel was over-reactive and dishing out collective punishment.

Tried googling Michael Behe and found him only on a Israeli website and a New York area newspaper both using the same article.

Arabs...cant even trust them to protect their own country LOL.
