the effectiveness of optical weapons depended on the surface of their target, im quite sure it is easier to counter a opitical weapon than making a woking optical weapon. otherwise, there will be no more NK missile threat right?

and we will all start to build optical stallelite that can fire these beam, and destroys terriorsts from space!

but in reality, it's not happening, at least not with today's technology. we still need to intercept missile with PHYSICAL missiles. otherwise we can just replace the Patriot missiles with laser defenders, and make our sky invulnerable to literally anything.
