Scientists have discovered the possible presence of bird flu in wild mute swans in Michigan _ but it does not appear to be the worrisome, highly pathogenic strain, the White House announced Monday.

Stock up on Tamiflu!
Is anyone in Michigan afraid of this report?

This is a form that has been present in the US before. Texas has had outbreaks on a small scale in the past. Canada also had cases in birds that presented earlier this year.

We can't panic because there are many forms of the H5 viruses.
With that said our flu season is just around the corner and the actual deadly H5N1 has now infected over 753 people which just gives the virus more opportunity to mutate to become transmissable.

I think sometime between late this year and into next we will start to see the deadly form move quickly.

From what I recall, of the many stains of bird flu, this is probably the common one that has been found in birds for many years and poses no threat to humans.

I would say the cause for panic has not yet arrived. ( yet )

Guess I was too slow in posting.

Yeah, what D-Day said. ( more in depth than my minuscule blurb I might add )
