I am in favor of such a forum, and I never even intend to drive a car in my lifetime if I can help it. I simply see no reason not to have such a forum, and it could be both informative and interesting even for those of us who have no enduring fascination with automotive technology or engineering. Surprising things can be learned from any subject! Sadly, most people who have no personal interest in a topic will likely refrain from voting in favor of something like this. I find that disappointing, personally. I for one believe there's something to be said for lending your voice to a good - or even neutral - cause, even if it doesn't help you personally in any tangible way.

I'm not a car guy, but I do think we NEED two new forums dealing with transportation, not just Automobiles. We need a BTS Forum for general Car/Bike/Truck talk, and we need a new ATS Blue forum talking about new innovations in transportation Technology(and the conspiracies dealing with them, that do not fit into Fragile Earth or Peak Oil).

One other thing, I think we need to merge some forums as well to keep the clutter down. I think it would a great idea if we were to merge Fragile Earth with Peak Oil into a general blue Environment forum or something like that.
