uh, in my defence to saying it looked like a biscuit, it does look like an object being thrown in the air...

Pardon my lack of explination, springer, however when i said "it looked like an afghan", i was referring to a type of biscuit with a chocolaty... bah, never mind... you get my point. And yes, no mistake, the biscuts proper name is afghan, so again, no racism intened

Admin edit - My mistake. Please accept my apologies and the influx of ATS Points.

With all due respect mods you can't expect us to just say something placid when we
see yet another dodgy ufo pic. Don't we have the right to put a view across if we strongly disagree with something?

I wouldn't call harsh criticism offensive.

I'll certainly admit that the posts erased (mine being one) were off topic and did little to contribute to this thread as it commented on the posting manner of the thread author. I apologize for being part of such nonsense (though I rather dislike being told to P.O. when questioning the lack of information as to this and similar images).

I would however - like I've done in a similar thread by the same author - again ask for further elaboration on his part as to the circumstances surrounding him taking this as well as the other pictures. Simply because of the over all low quality of the images; otherwise thus far easily dismissed as insects, blimps, lens flares etc.

Also, as it would seem, CYRAX has managed to film and photograph these UFO's quite frequently lately (about every other day!) - and all are difficult to scrutinize for the same reason as mentioned above. So IMHO there is absolutely reason for him to consider what is posted and again; elaborate on it further.

My opinion of this particular image is that it's probably an insect. This would also explain why it wasn't seen when the picture was taken.

Dude!

You got a warning for a cookie!

But for this occasion I think that I will choose two special biscuits or cookies. One that I believe is particular to New Zealand - the Afghan - ....
No-one seems to know why the Afghan biscuit is called an Afghan biscuit.

OK, back on topic.

Pretty inconclusive photo, though, it actually does look a bit like one of those chocolate cookies if it were thrown into the air.

I'd also have to agree with Durden, the frequency of recent photos with an utter lack of surrounding information is begining to look a bit unusual.

CYRAX, please give a bit more background info on your photos and videos when starting these threads.

You say that you were "taking five pics at a time", is this the only one in the set where the anomaly appeared?

Are there neighbor children, living on the other side of the house, who could be playing "catch" with something?

For anyone who does not "get" what Springer was trying to say, see Durden's post above which is an example of a good post.

He thinks it is very likely NOT a UFO or anything unworldly.... Okay, first impression made.

He substantiates his reasoning with some background on the poster's previous additions to the ATS forums... Even better, has given reason to listen.

Asked for further clarification on some points... perfect.

No rash personal baiting or attacking. Clean-cut and to the point.

Monkeyz - Apologies my man, if you've had to spend your Sunday going through all the crap I've had, you'd have an itchy trigger finger too! I've given you a bunch of points and you got my open apology.

Harsh criticism SHOULD NOT CONTAIN PERSONAL FLAMING AND ATTACK/BAITING. Simple as that, be critical, but be professional.

It's an interesting shot, to be sure, but certainly not a smooth metallic craft or anything.

It could be a bug : On the top of the distant shot there appear to be blurry parts that could be wings. And there are enough lighter gray areas on the bottom that could be legs.

Or a blimp : It has a smooth front to the left, what could be a tailfin sticking up on the right, and the light grey area in the middle is in the spot where a cockpit would be located.

I'd say another one in the "Interesting, but too blurry to be conclusive" file.

??? withoutaclueidot alert --- you cant tell if its metallic or not by looking at the pic .

yeah tons of blimps flying around now days -- good one.

Did you check your lens for specks of dust, dirt, or droplet of H2O?

The apparent illumination / reflection on the underside of the "object" is reminiscent of the effect of dirt, dust, or a droplet of mositure on the lens.

I dont think it looks like anything u said , looks to me like something flying/moving
.
the part u say about illumination/reflec ect , doesnt make sense. sounds bogus.

I don't know if the guys in here know that Cyrax wasn't randomly taking pictures of the sky, nor did he see the object in the sky and snap it. He purposely blocked out the majority of the Sun using his roof so that he could try and capture an anomoly on film. It's a technique called Solar Obliteration, check out some of the links below to see what its all about.

Here's a few blimps for you :

Arizona Balloons
Advertising Balloons - Advertising Blimps
The BlimpWorks
3d Advertising
Goodyear Blimp
Sanyo Blimp

Hope you get the idea

Anyway, I also said it could be an insect, which I actually think is the case.

ps Your "alert" comment is directly against the posts by Springer and Simon.
Not ATS to me :shk:

A Clue Regarding Courtesy

SimonGray, the founder and managing partner of AboveTopSecret.com, posted this:

Three and a half hours later, and in the very next post, we see this:

Oh the irony.

I don't think Simon should have to repeat himself, so I suggest reading another concurring opinion on the subject:

Courtesy Is Mandatory

I recommend taking this clue to heart and posting accordingly.

heres some pictures by my friend he has a photograhic background he thinks its a insect
this is what he said
" it's
my conclusion that you probably have a 95% chance of catching a bug or
some other form of particulate. This is not to say that it is indeed a bug,
but it doesn't seem to lend itself towards any known shape for a UFO.
This does not mean that it couldn't be a yet to be described UFO, simply
that at this time it doesn't fall into any know categories.."
