I don't know if you people have heard of it, but I'm sure many of you have heard of the group of cretins who call themselves "God Hates Fags".

These people to me are beneath garbage. Their hatred of people and glorification of violence and vile acts is beneath disgusting. They make alot of Nazis I know look respectable.

They are also quite inbred, only marrying members of the church, who are almost all relatives of Phelps.

The members are sadistic and hateful.

One thing that gave me hope is that reading up on thiese idiots, I discovered that even alot of Christian conservatives, like Jerry Falwell, think these people are nuts and are a cult. And the Baptist congregations of America pretty much denounce them and have nothing to do with them.

Even though Im not Christian, I know enough Christian doctrine to understand that by christian beliefs, God hates nobody. Only sin he hates.

these people are embarrasements to the real christians. God doesn't hate anyone, even murderers. Yes, sex was designed for hetrosexual relationships, this is a fact, religious or not. But he never encouraged people to hate those who go against this rule. As long as they don't start creating children using artificial means, many Christians don't give a damn about gays.

i was jsut trying to find this guys website i heard of him from a friend of mine who jsut returned from the war in iraq. WHAT A GUY!! There is a group of motorcycle riding veterans that rides around to various soldiers funerals now, and all they do is stand there in a huge group and form a path for the families. They stand there holding flags, and don't say a word, just block the families from having to see these idiots protesting at the funerals.

Those sad people just don't get it. I believe in god and I believe that if I live a good life in his name there will be eternal light. Does that mean I must live a perfect life without sin? Of course not. The story is Jesus died on the cross to absolve us of our sins (Of course, we need to work not to sin). My point is that we all commit sins and the god I have come to know sees a sin as a sin. Lying is just as bad as being gay, and it absolutely drives me crazy to see bigots like that play the game of, "...my sin isn't as bad as his." It's people like this that keep the walls of division up that prevent society from being able to band together for the common good.

I have read about "Pastor" Phelps, and have been familiar with his story for quite a few years now, and if there was ever justification for a Manslaughter Defense of "He Needed Killing" that man is it. Of course I think that defense is still on the books in some southern states and was written for people like him, Pastor Phelps - The Devil in Disguise.

Fred Phelps, the pastor of that church is truly disgusting. Here in Roanoke Va. A few years ago a deranged man (named Gay) walked into a gay bar and started shooting. One was killed and several were wounded to one degree or the other. Well this character who calls himself a reverend wanted to come and protest at the funeral of man who was killed. Well these types are such cowards. Instead of having the courage of his convictions, he wanted the local police to protect him so he could spew his bile. Well they refused so he didn't come. These were the same people who showed up at Mathew Shepard's funeral in Montana with their God hates fags placards, and protest at the funerals of soldiers killed in Iraq.

I would love to see someone dressed as Jesus with a placard that reads "God hates bigots like Fred Phelps" protesting one of his protests.

I am writing a story that includes bisexual drunkard of a Preacher, deliberately named Fred Phelps and a little dig.

Jimmy Swaggert used to preach constantly about the evils of porn only for it to come out he was a porn addict. I forget the guys name (Bill Bennet?) but he was in the Reagan administration and all he talked about was high moral values only for it to come out he had a gambling addiction. It would not surprise me a bit if pictures of Fred Phelps were to surface of him wearing a dress
