What enough proof is enough?

I'm fairly new to ATS and i'm glad i decided to join. I find we have here quite a nice educated group of people, looking for answers or looking to express themselves. Communication is one nice way to make progress.

There has been a lot of people saying they want more proofs. After searching the net for nearly 6 weeks, reading left and right all kind of material, and talking to all kind of people, i believe we have enough material to say we are not alone in our solar system.

I have the proofs I need, but what about you? Once your goals are set and you can see the can be reached, maybe you could finaly get what you need.

What are you looking for and what are you willing to do to find more about the subject?

Everyone used to want DNA evidence until the Federal Gov't intervened and locked down the technology.
(For some reason).

They did? We'll, the USA gov isnt the only one able to do dna research. So that should'nt be a prolblem I would agree the only evidence solid enough of extraterestial life, would be an alien, in the flesh. (or wahtever they have)

For me it comes down to the individual, what one person believes another man
does'nt. I think you have to really want to believe in aliens to trust some of the
shaky footage out there, and lets be honest most of it has been debunked.

In sadness the best evidence we have is in written testimonies or someones
account, and whether you believe that they are genuine, or how much you trust what in they say depends largely on your beliefs and view on the whole UFO debate.

The only time we'll truly know, is a worldwide arrival and contact where everyone
gets to communicate with them. Then and only then it will be impossible
to turn away and deny it. Up till then (and i'll probably get slated for this), we
simply dont know.

When I have my own personal Grey slave that will do the dishes, clean my house and rub my back from time to time, I'll have enough proof.

Now that's not even remotely funny.

What's interesting is to see how people are willing to accept the bible or other writtings as truth, even if it probably has been modified during the ages. But when someone in 2006 brings video tapes and secret documents to the table, people don't pay attention to them...I just don't get it.

Personally, i would be rather dissapointed in a universe that has not produced intelligent life to date which has not visited this planet, considering that conservative estimates put the universe at 18,000,000,000 years old, and humanity has only existed for 1/9,000th of that time.

I am looking for the truth. As for what i am willing to do to find out more about the subject? I am willing to spend the past 8 years and 3 months in the United States Air Force as a fireman, stationed out of Nellis AFB with the exception of 2 years 8 months in war zones, who has been exposed to certain truths. But, what am i willing to do to find out more about the subject? If it is for the better good, i would most certainly be willing to forfeit my very existance.

But, I'll say this much. Out of everyone i could think would know the truth, i suspect very few actually want to know.

I honestly believe there is substantial evidence for the ufo phenomenon, whether they are classified government aircrafts, extraterrestrial in origins or something else. The point is to look at the hard evidence and not speculate too much. It's unfortunate however that these days it's easily possible to fake pictures and videos that appear entirely believable, which brings much research of this phenomonen to a halt.

I certainly believe there is life out there in the universe, there's got to be, Earth's been around what? a minimal fraction of the rest of the Universe and to believe that we are the only race of intelligent people in existence in the infinite cosmos is in my eyes anyway, truly ignorant.

I certainly believe that there are race's of people who are far in advance of us, intellectually and technologically. It's a complete definite in my eyes. I mean they found bacteria on Mars surely that's proof that there is other 'life' out there.

As for stories of these 'Greys' coming down and making pacts with out Government's and taking us away and performing tests on us, im not so sure, all the evidence about incident's like that pretty mich always seem to be inconclusive.

As for a race of people more advanced than us, and race's who are still 'neandarthal' compared to us, there is nothing surer in my mind that they are out there. Probably not in this solar system but maybe not too far away.

What really fascinates me is whether they are coming to Earth, and if so what for, scientific study much like we scrutinize say the insect world? And how are they doing it, we can only just about reach the moon!, how are they coming lightyears to visit us? I'd love nothing more than to know the facts but at the moment there isn't really anything concrete that I can say sways me to believe they are visiting us.

I've seen UFO's on three seperate occasions in my lifetime, I've seen light's in the sky that were very odd, but I believe them to have been spooklight's not Alien craft.

What's interesting to me is people believing "secret documents" and video without questioning the originators of either.

Buddy, the only proof is for aliens to land on the whitehouse lawn and say 'we are here'.

All the rest is games played by humanity : those who really want aliens to come, and those who get a kick out of it.

A perfectly clear hi-res colour photo of an alien being (full body shot) in daylight from less than 10 feet away, head-on, that nobody can rule as being a photoshop or suit.

The sheer amount of alien and UFO reports and photos gives me a good deal of faith that they are visiting Earth, but no solid undeniable proof.

That's only for alien proof though. The problem is that you're merging two entirely different subjects into one, that being ufos and aliens.
Ufos (unidentified flying objects) basically being aircrafts of uknown origins....
Now some people might relate them to aliens and what not but that puts the subject of discussion on a tangent. Especially when you only want to look at the evidence.

Aliens are a subject on their own and I believe a much more speculative one.
