Is this book any good? Would it be of interest to a freemason? I've been told it's quite rare but i know nothing about these things so i thought i'd ask the experts.

I have never read it but its a simple account of the development of Freemasonry.

I am not sure the year of pub. but if you were considering buying it from say an auction I would recomend going with a modern book/s on the craft. A lot of times any old Masonic books or anything that even says occult people will bid away without considering the content.

Now as for books go if you are after a certain area let us know I am sure we can recomend a few.

i have not read this book, But i have read, and recommend "Freemasons: inside the worlds oldest secret soceity" by H. Paul Jeffers. it's a very cut and dry look at the order without alot of propaganda or opinion, though there is some speculation on some of the un-answered questions regarding the order
