Is it better to buy a firearm off of someone on the street, or go to a firearm dealer/gunshop and purchase a registered firearm, for which you gotta wait 3 days waiting period?

If you buy anything off the street, you do not know its history.

It may have been used for murder, for example. Now would you really want to invite trouble like that?

2 cents. Better to go to a dealer.

What if it hadn't been used for murder, etc? (lets say someone you know and trust)? Is that a good idea?

I suppose it would be a good choice, if you don't like waiting for one and if you'd prefer if the gun wasn't immedately traceable to you.

You'd want to be careful using it, though. If it is used, and someone files a lawsuit because of it, you'll get in big trouble for having a non-registered gun. Afterall, it is kinda illegal, at least it is in America. Not sure if it's illegal in Russia.
