news.independent.co.uk...

France is preparing to change its policy on nuclear weapons to include a threat to unleash first strikes against "rogue states", a newspaper reported yesterday.
========================================

No solid info on wether or not they will though. Still scary however.

This from the article:

'Now, faced with a potential enemy that is quite irrational, we are going to have to reverse that concept."

what the frock does this mean?

It means that France perceives an irrational potential enemy!

I wonder who that could be?

Seriously NEO your paranoia is getting ahead of you. This is virtually the same pronouncement that Bush has made.If you don't like it now then try and imagine how the rest of the world felt then.

JB1,

I'm not paranoid actually.

Just trying to get a response from the barely living around here.

Frankly I think the passage refers to the US and the NWO.

While France and old Europe is the OWO.

So when the US made the same pronouncement who did they mean??

The US meant anyone they don't like or who is getting in there way.

Bill Clinton, thru Presidential Order, put the USA in a position to 'accept the first strike' nuclear or otherwise.

So, when it was the Cold War, we were allmost 100 % sure that a nuclear war was allmost impossible, but since the end of the Cold War, we are going straight to a possible nuclear war ?

Do we have to go back to the Cold War ? May be that I'll sleep more well then.

ultra,

uhh?

I though during the cold war they were talkin' bout mutual self destruction a lot?

Now it is about options, like we can strike first and destroy the mutha's before they even think about pushin' da button!

Well, as funny and hilarious and the number of practical jokes that can be made on France and this subject.....seems this is a bit of a "change"......seems that they have adopted the US stance of "pre-emptive" strikes.

Here is another "re-phrasing" of that change in France:
"France 'to aim nuclear arms at rogue states'"
Link:
www.telegraph.co.uk.../news/2003/10/28/wnuke28.xml&sSheet=/news/2003/10/28/ixnewstop.html

BUT, as par with cheese and France, Chirac/France denies policy change:
"France Denies Shift in Nuclear Deterrent Policy"
Link:
story.news.yahoo.com.../nm/20031027/wl_nm/france_nuclear_dc_2

Wine with that cheese...anyone? hehehe, just joking.
Question though:
Despite Washington's listing of "rogue states" or "states of concern".....you reckon' that France added the United States to that list?

BTW....does this also change their current military philosophies of maintaining the right to surrender first?
Oppss, sorry, just joking, again....

Seems to me that the ever-growing Muslim population has France seriously worried.......?!....maybe?
