I was thinking that because I feel like I have covered so much as my angle for example seeing the world through the Bible's perspective kind of answers alot of things people write. I have been to different areas of the site and put my input to help see from this angle in most conspiracy and paranormal and historical discussions. My points on my Avatar looks lower than it should as i messed buying an Avatar up and lost some points. But I am saying should we have members Level of thought to say look I have good knowledge of most subjects and maybe rate our selves without having to lie or get knowledge rating points and reasearch points. It could all sound complicated but maybe one can add their honest opinion out of 10 rating.

I feel and we all probably feel we are going round in circles with debates we have been here before, so let the lower ranking ones with lest knowledge who are new to conspiracies have a rating. Number of points does not suggest lack of knowledge, I think of all subjects vertually and feel maybe my us Knowledge freaks should give the beginners a chance even if we have discussed the same subject 6 months ago. Apart from now current afairs there is little to input without repeating it all. There must be a system of rank on here for the more all rounder, numbers as in put is good but does not always reflect all the areas. Maybe I am out doing my self now but at the same time feel some of us need to seperate from the cycle of information that repeats it self and are mind set to one thing.

uhh what?

IMAO, if you are sick of seeing a certain topic, don't click that thread or participate in the discussion, seems a lot easier to me than some pseudo rank bs.

Always remember; YOU ARE NOT YOUR POINTS, YOU ARE NOT YOUR POST COUNT, YOU ARE NOT YOUR BOYCOTT THIS SIGNATURE, YOU ARE NOT YOUR L33t AVATAR (unless it is actually you then well but still you get the point(s)) ad nauseum

if you make good points, the mods will applaud you. everyone has an appropriate number of points here, the system works just fine.

you can change your avatar anytime you want, if you have basic innarnetz knowledge.

if you want more points, continue to make contributions to the community.

Yes it was an idea not a mission to change anything.

I am not sick of posts being repeated just more sick of people being sick of them and saying insults when they do. If they are ranked higher than that person at least they can not argue they have not covered certain things by now.

Suppose like preachers or even teachers we can contribute in helping new recruites which I do and have done. Just thought maybe make it's interesting to have an advanced room for the 50,000 + pointers or something. Probably they have but I missed it. Could be good to say have a speacialist area medal of knowlege like the moderators do, maybe have them at different levels too.

I am easy going and not that fussed- this post is an idea or a contribution it self patern the idea as long people don't become rich.

I think I understand what you're saying. You can always use your custom title lines for this if you like. You can buy up to two custome title lines that show up right underneath your user name in your mini profile

Yes I meant that too which at least they are doing which is good. Guess I am not around like I used to so would probably be demoted if i did get it. Maybe personally I feel all subjects here I have an opinion now or at least half, I might not be an expert as such but matured and almost set in my ways of opinion. Maybe a stubburn badge would do.

HMMM , and who would decide who was an " expert " in what feilds ???

the maxim " by thier words you will know them " seems apt -- the posts from people who truely know a subject stand out from those who are churning excremental bovine biomass .

IMHO there are no " ranks " required

also " expert " is not synomomous with " like minded "

and lastly -- your participation in a given thread is indication that you have an interest it it , what other indicator do you require ?

a badge proclaiming that you are interested in aircraft / space issues is useless if you never post in the relevant forums

badges and " ranks " will be IMHO a useless source of drama and troll fodder

they wil certainly not " deny ignorance " rather re enforce it
never a good thing

The reason some have more points is that they don't "buy things" in the ATS store that often. Points are easy enough to get. They tell more about your participation here than your knowledge. Knowledge level is determined by the content of your posts.
