the bus is there to transport people who do not like to fly. you have to remember that the people working on these "black-ops" projects can sometimes be very eccentric and quirky. the gov't does what it can to keep them happy and working. a happy engineer is a productive engineer.

I dont think this is true, the bus doesnt travel very far away from the front gate. It just carries those people for who it makes more sense to drive than fly.

The bus is to transport people who work at the base and who live in Alamo, Hiko,
Pioche, and Caliente. They park their cars at the junction of 93 and 375. They are picked up there by the bus and taken about 35 miles miles to the Groom Lake Road Gate and from there to the base. The whole distance is about 55 miles.
