We need to ADDRESS it correctly.

A period/point/dot/instance/end/stop/punctuation/pixel/moment/thingy.

What is the obvious thing we're missing here?

Can we presume from the applause of Tuning Spork's post that we should be concentrating on what we actually _see_ and not on any wider ufological context?

I presume that no one has received any applause for the various other avenues that we've tried, i.e. trying to relate the "one" and/or the "." to various "UFO"s, including:

(a) the band "UFO",
(b) the TV series "UFO"
(c) the first UFO sighting
(d) periods of UFO sightings.

It,s th ''.'' s that are the key i,m sure.. why put them in if they are not gonna make up part of the answer?

ok damnit lets brain storm here, it obvious they arent going to just give us the answer

Along the same lines I've tried alltheufoanswers.html.

I thought the reference to "address" might be a deliberate clue, and that maybe the "." represent a missing figure so I've tried "Area51" and several variations on it.

Given the number of times that "." appears compared to each letters, I'm currently minded to think that the clue is "one ufo ..." or "ufo one ...".

If it is "one ufo..." and we are not to over-think things, then I'm back (once again) to thinking that the answer could be quite literal and (with hindsight!) quite simple.

I've been toying with various words for a single ufo, such as:

aflyingsaucer
anunidentifiedflyingobject

No joy so far...
