White Guilt and the Western Past

Hi All,

Here's a point of view that I think explains quite a bit about our current prosecution of the war with Islamic Radicals (with kid gloves and "proportionate" military responses), the anti-Americanism we see in most of the world press, and why Israel is dropping leaflets before they take out civilian-embedded military targets.

The article was written a couple of months ago and was primarily a commentary on the Iraq war, but one could apply it to the Israeli-Hezbollah conflict as well.

Before anyone gets too excited, the author, Shelby Steel, a NYT Best Selling author and Fellow at the Hoover Institute at Stanford, is Black.

Excellent!

The guy makes some very interesting points, and is pretty spot on socially. If you look beyond Iraq and at the whole War on Terror thingy, I can see where he is going.
