Skeptics versus people of faith

A while back I believe at Yale they held a study if power of prayer had any help on a person. So they held a very expensive study and did teh various methods needed for statistical outcome and the patients did worse!

When it comes to belief did the skeptics doing teh study have such large doubt it was stronger than the people praying? I think when in any situation if you apply enough doubt to anything you will cause damage.

Thats my theory.
