It's "would have", not "would of"...

One more thing that irks me, is when ppl add an apostrophe before an "s", when it doesn't belong.

Example "I have two car's"

argghhhh!

Sometimes I'm guilty of that, I’ll stop doing that right away. Also I wanted to add, someone mentioned something about people saying ”anyways” earlier in the thread, I don’t think that is kosher if you say it with an [s] at the end. We were always corrected for that and told that it’s [anyway] no s. Correct me if I’m wrong on that one, but I do believe that is correct.

Happy New Yeaw to you guys too. [The bawbwa wawa stint was fun!]
Edit** Maybe we should start a bawbwa Wawa thread for a good laugh, with only one rule.... replace all r's with w's

Sometimes I can deal with that when it's the tricky "its or it's"

Just remember which one to use and when.

You awe make me waff!

He is a phrase that bugs me.

For Christ SAKES
or sometimes For God SAKES

Should be: For CHRIST'S sake! For GOD's Sake.

Wow, I would of always said "would have" If I knew that was correct.(honestly, this is new to me)

I HATE when people use 'an' wrong... an racket ball... that don't make any sense. I don't even understand how you couldn't notice such a thing..

"an history" the only way I can pronounce that is "an istory"

The one I think only my mom does is 'asol' instead of 'also'

Using 'oh' in phone numbers is something I do but, only for some numbers for it to be easier for people to remember.... like.. my area code is '905' I can't imagine someone actually saying 'nine-zero-five' nor do I ever hear it. Something I can't get used to is saying 'nine' I always pronounce it 'nyng.'

Oh man, what really threw me off was when my Australian math teacher would use the word 'not' instead of 'zero' lol... "Its not 60??!? you just told me it was!"

The biggest one of all, and I don't even know who's right... **Concrete**

Is it concrete or concrete??

I believe your teacher meant "naught", which is another word for "zero". Here, in my neck of the woods, it's pronounced "aught".

Personal pet peeve: It's "regardless", not "irregardless". There is no such word as irregardless.

Also, we were taught in elementary school that "an" is used in front of words starting with the letter H. If the rules have changed, I must have missed that memo.
