"God" is a magnified human projection of its own potentials. Sometimes people can be downright nasty and evil, while other times showing a profound love and affirmation of life. So such things are also attributed to a fictional God, since only occasionally do they feel connected to the greater human society it mirrors.

Of course, some people take the concept of God literally, and imagine some alternatingly harsh and benevolent entity actively at work in the world. But these people are idiots with a laughingly immature and childish grasp of the concept of externalized personality projection.

Belief in a power higher than human intelligence and emotion with a lable of "God"? Sure, I'm totally in.

I believe everything else is stuff made up by men to try and seperate us from the other inhabitants on this planet.
Unfortunetly, the "everything else" part is likely to cause mans extinction due to it causing rivals amongst men and holding men back from learning, exploration, and development.
