repeated calls to Koffi Annon from the UN outpost to allow a withdrawal from the area went unanswered, according to this posted picture showing the UN flag flying next to the Hezbollah flag, I know what some think of the worldnetdaily source but pictures dont lie and I knew all along that Israel must have had a reason for hitting this post and here it is!!

worldnetdaily.com...

What role do peacekeepers have to play in the midst of a battlefield, anyway? Why didn't Kofi approve their request to withdraw? More than a week before, the Canadian officer in charge of the installation warned the Circus on the East River that Hezbollah fighters were "all over" their installation. He noted that Hezbollah was setting up and firing rockets only yards outside the U.N.'s compound. He expressed his fear that Hezbollah, by its presence, was painting a target on them, in an e-mail since released by Canadian Gen. Lewis McKenzie.

Need proof? Kofi Annan blamed Israel for "apparently deliberately targeting the U.N. outpost" – but said nothing about the fact that before the peacekeeping unit was "begging" Israel to lift their fire, they were begging Kofi to relieve them of their post. The U.N. refused to relieve the peacekeepers, and the Canadian officer who sent the e-mail was among those killed in the air strike. It was almost as if Kofi was daring Israel to return fire so close to a U.N. outpost.

The UN should be ejected from U.S. soil for this horrible act of indecency sacraficing the lives of his own men to fabricate a political point!!

I read the same "Letter From a soldier" at least 2 days before the incident happened and his report had nothing to do with what happened that day. Its the same exact letter he wrote to the canadian newspaper the days before.. The only thing that changed the editing date on the article they quoted was the fact that they added his death to the article. It was not a message he had gotten out right before the bombing. His wife even said in an article that it was not the first time they targeted his outpost.

That flag is nothing more then a taunt to the israelis on the other side of that border fence. Its not a hizbolla base next to the outpost.

Now the thing i find odd about this post is that the pictures simply are not the U.N. post that was attacked.

Here is the post befor the attack

Here is the post after the attack

So you see any hezbollah flags?
Your post is to simply discredit the U.N. in defense of Israel.

Ok, so there was no Hezbollah base next to the outpost. Then why didn't the UN observers remove the flag?

Does this suprise anyone? Hezbo is using the citizens of Lebanon as shields as well. Thats how cowards fight in that part of the world.

Isn't this the same stuff Israel et al. pulled in 1996 at Qana? Using Hezbollah using civilians/UN/whatever-comes-to-hand is not a new thing... most likely part of a STOP for such Op's. Bet the explanation they "use" for whacking UN'ers will be the same. They need a new script writer.

Thanx,

Victor K.

So, why was it that the UN didn't remove the Hezbollah flag from the outpost? I must have missed that explanation...
